Yep eBay from a seller from Ireland for under £100,Enterprise_1701C wrote: »Hoping you come back to this, just decided to try to find a Xiaomi Redmi 4x - where did you get yours from please, was it Ebay?
You can get it cheaper £82, outside the EU, direct from China, but delivery takes a while, and I had a poor experince with a phone from China I had to return.
Couple of things to watch for:- The 3GB/32GB, is a better bet than the very slightly cheaper 2/16GB
- There are LOTs of similar models, look out for the 5" 4X screen models, not 5.5" "Note", 4a, or older pro/prime models.
- Check with the seller the 4X comes with Google play store, some China only models are "googleless".
- My daughter went for the black, but it is a little plain and she now wishes she had got one of the colours.

Thank you, think I will keep an eye on Ebay. Funnily enough the spec you have suggested is exactly what I am after, certainly don't want to go for the Note, way too big.
Funny you should mention eglobal, saw that was a good price but did some digging and does not appear to be fantastically safe. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Yep eGlobal are "well known", and do have their knockers. That was why I put the more expensive eBay link first, as if you go this way you have Ebay and Paypal protections if neededEnterprise_1701C wrote: »Thank you, think I will keep an eye on Ebay. Its predecessor, the Z1 Compact can be had new for just over £100 on a familiar auction site.
I've had mine for just over a year now and I find that it does everything that I need.
Word of warning with that approach, as I have purchased refurbed/end of line mobiles on aution sites before. You will not be getting shops warranty, so if your old phone packs up you will probably be out of pocket.
After a couple of times buying old models which turned out to have limited remaining life, I ended up buying a non branded cheapo smartphone from a shop, ok the spec isnt as good, but its still going.
Most handsets have 2 year warranites from shops, I think thats worth having even at a cost.0 -

Perhaps I've just been lucky then!
Currently on my third 'auction site purchase' and no problems with any of them.0 -
I think I'd rather just order from gearbest than use eGlobal via ebay. There's no getting away from the fact there is a risk buying these import phones, and buying it from someone trying to hide where they are based seems worse.Ah, yes, eGlobal, they're situated in that famous old part of France, called Kowloon, Hong Kong...
