I had to Google 'the inner chimp'. Wow, my chimp gets a free reign where my emotions are concerned...I must find out more.
I had to google it, too. I reckon mine must be kept in a straitjacket, as I tend not to show my feelings at all.

This may seem strange, but I am getting a bit more of a restful night with two dogs sharing the bed; not actually sleeping more, but the dogs have a calming influence. I shall miss them when they go home.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • I am well acquainted with the Sandman but he doesn't visit me very often! NAN don't blame me for passing the worrying bug on as I still have it!! When I was young (in a time long long ago!) it used to irritate me no end when my mum worried endlessly over nothing and now I am as bad!!

I am not acquainted with the inner chimp though, so some googling is needed for me too!

SNOOZER I think you have made the right decision not to drive up here on Monday. The forecast is horrendous and to reinforce it we have had rain hitting the front windows today. It only hits the front windows when there is snow imminent!

DD is working Monday and is sick of having to walk the 5 miles to work in snow so has come up with a cunning plan! There is an old Victorian cobbled road near her house which leads down the hill to a village at the bottom. She is going to leave her car at the bottom of the cobbles on Sunday night (bf will drive her back home) and then if there is deep snow Monday morning she will walk (or slide) down the cobbles and hopefully be able to drive her car on the bypass to work! All this assuming that the council will be gritting/ploughing the bypass!

Enjoy the rest of the day folks if you can xx

Well i try and keep in touch with my Grandsons Mother even though she and my Son are no longer together but she makes it hard at times.

Once a month i ring her, just to see how both she and my Grandson are but i could shake her i really could. She's in debt up to her eyeballs and blames everyone but herself for the mess she is in. Ive just had an hour and a half of the poor old me's.

Of course she blames my Son for leaving her when she was pregnant but he left because how shall i put it? She was a bit handy with her fists when she didnt get her own way.

Oh well, ive got a month to recover.

Just as I beat my chimp into submission my DM decided that me staying until tomorrow was not such a great idea as 1) the weather is so bad and 2) everywhere she would want to go to would be busy. So, I drove home.

Yes, it's cold though dry. I only did a little shopping on the way home as I must use what's in the freezer more.

I hope all is well with everyone.

It has rained and rained all day but I've had a nice day anyway.

    Am dreadfully tired though.

OH made dinner, I had a little piece of salmon with salad leaves. They had humungous haunches of meat.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

Great. I come south and here it’s cold and wet:rotfl:

We’re now unpacking. I’m not sure how I’m going to cope with a 1/2 and 1/2 fridge freezer and no dishwasher. I sense a change in catering habits coming on.:D

  • Good morning & a Happy Easter to one & all. It is currently dry here with bright cloud :)

nmlc thanks for starting us off

SR congrats - enjoy the cuddles with your new dgs

Hoping Holly has a good Easter & that her brother manages a couple of visits. I am keeping everything crossed that Holly can go home on Thursday :)

DH is still in bed but will wake him up soon - bedding needs washing, drying & putting back on the bed as only have one winter set :) I have had a lovely hot bath & washed my hair - the only trouble is my hair is so long I can almost sit on it & it takes an age to get the tangles out :(

Lots of housework & Swedish Death Cleaning is on the cards today so I will finish my coffee & finish detangling my hair & then start.

Was just interrupted by the milkman - so he is paid to date :)

    Have a great day everyone.

    Back again :)

    I got the tangles out ..... eventually:rotfl:

My wall unit has been scrubbed clean & then Pledged - there are 32 cubbyholes - 2 lots of 4 with glass doors, 2 lots of 4 with doors & 16 open cubbyholes as well as 8 drawers. Ornaments have been washed & either returned or put in cs bags. The only thing left to do is the two sides which are currently inaccessible :( due to the clutter :rotfl: Now have 2 full bags for cs to be delivered Tuesday - I am trying to get things out of the house ASAP.

Whipped up a bechamel sauce for my hm lasagne & took the last garlic baguette from the freezer. Also fried up a few sliced mushrooms seasoned with garlic granules, salt & pepper. Dinner was delicious  Small portion left for a snack for DH, tomorrow.

Bedding has been washed & dried & is back on the bed as it is my only set of winter bedding :) I Kondoed the rest to the cs :) a couple of months ago. When will Winter end or are we in GoT territory :rotfl:

Parcels have been wrapped to be posted Tuesday.

It rained intermittently all day but I only popped out to put rubbish in wheelie bin.

Had a good blub when watching Casualty :(

All in all not too bad a day but need to be more productive tomorrow

    Have a good sleep everyone
