Thanks bris. Would you believe , the rad in the front room needs bleeding . It is hot at the top and cold in the middle . Forgot to mention that when I had a new bathroom fitted , the builder fitted a new tower radiator . Thing is , the place was empty and had no gas supply so he couldn’t bleed it . What I wil do tomorrow is ask that the engineer could bleed rads and give boiler an annual service when he visits on Friday .0

Means it doesn't need bleeding
If it has cold spots then it's either gunked up and needs cleaning, or the flow is very weak.
Your service engineer should be able to advise you which.
(And in all likelihood try to sell you a powerflush!!!!)
