NST April 2018: April Fool's Challenge

Lots of things to do today so didn't go out. I'm sure we'll make up the walking in the next few weeks.
NSD no 5. Roast beef joint from freezer for dinner. Boy has just informed me he won't be in for dinner - going bowling with friends. That means there will be some left over for another time. One day I will get this freezer under control (although I have managed to sneak some more inedibles into the food waste without Himself noticing).
Clothes all ready for packing. It's all the little things I find a bit of a footer (good old Scottish word!). We only ever take hand luggage (my cousin cannot believe I take so little) and my perfume bottle is a bit big. Himself has said he will treat me to a small size of something I like at the airport before we go.He's an absolutely gem.
Keep forgetting to add my gratitudes (and there are many. I am a very lucky person).
Might be grey outside but there is a lovely sunny atmosphere in our house.
Himself, my son, my family and my friends (genuinely nice people who would do anything to help me if I needed it).
Going on holiday (so lucky to be able to do this when we want to)
The nice people here who are an inspiration.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
Today is NSD 4. Stayed in. Started packing my bedroom up. Got an appointment on wednesday as I might be moving into supported housing. This will be a good thing for me.
Had left over pasta bake and garlic bread for lunch.

Love yourself, Oh dear. Put on mascara this morning, looked in the bathroom mirror at lunchtime and due to hayfever and itchy eyes I was a panda. Took ages to get it all off and I am still not convinced I managed ( I think I still look a bit grey, like a panda in concealer). Hmm. Stupid pollen.
Find time to get outside.I put the washing on the line, and went to the market and the supermarket and home before 12.00
Overpay - Will try, CTC has dropped £10 a week- I suppose that means the form is coming.......

Not much to report today but checking in nonetheless. Really enjoyed my swim last night, I haven't been swimming for years because of my neck problems but finally felt able to do it yesterday after 8 months of treatment. Definitely some self love and definitely going to do it again.
Today I managed to get out for a run, I got some more studying done for my Masters, it's all pretty heavy going at the moment so just trying to power through. Generally just done some chores, cleaned the carpet, defluffed the rabbits (not that they appreciated it). Also renewed my ISA. Rest of the day will be chilling, I think a bubble bath with a face mask is in order! Still on 2 spend days, really trying hard to plan my spends better and stop wasting money.

My fridge looking like I am having an affair with a grocer
Brilliant
Failing on the daily reporting... had some busy days. Updated budgets:
Groceries: 82.26/200
Personal: 39.74/80
Presents: 0/15
Diesel: 0/60
NSDs: 5/18
Feeling a bit nervous about the level of spending in 2 days, but it's bought me everything I need for the month as far as I can see. Hubby is now away until May, I think I may be able to live off what's in the kitchen. Large shop stocked up on basics and I've got lots of ready prepped frozen veg for speed, and so I don't use all my capacity to stand up cooking. Can't eat fresh fruit at the moment due to heartburn; I may do a mid-month shop for salad items. Personal items were all good bargains
One of the ways I can relieve my back pain is to get on all 4s (takes the weight of baby off), and I discovered that I can usefully do some cleaning whilst I'm down there! I'm giving the carpet a thorough vacuum on the handheld setting and cleaning skirting boards. Every cloud and all that.
Not being having my daily baths to help with my aches and pains but having just caught up on 4 pages of posts here, I'm inspired to go for one right now.
Grateful for:
Unborn LO keeping me company in hubby's absence by moving lots
The NHS being very thorough with my antenatal care
My current pregnancy craving being ice cubes (because it costs nothing and has no calories!)
