    Morning all

Damp and drizzly here and set in for the day I think, I have a wash on the go which will have to go in the TD or on the airer over night. Will have a quick tidy through this morning but house is not too bad.

I am going to have to ring the insurance company re the kitchen floor as it starting to raise up bit and OH thinks within a few months it will be buckled and ruined, so that's a job for today.

I have been wondering what to do about work next week, I do feel better and much more rested because I am making sure I rest every day but I know that as soon as I start back this tiredness will start again, I have thought that I would ring my boss and tell her that I would be back but can only do a five day and not a seven as I would be straight back to square one otherwise, I could phone the dr and get him to sign me off again but I will have to go back at some point and it could be weeks and weeks before they get to the bottom of what's causing it and get me right again, what do you think ?

Will take little madam up to the park for her constitutional after this, I am really enjoying the morning walk.

Jackie what marvellous news ! I bet you are beaming, and what a good size baby she was ! Congratulations to you all xx

    Have good days all xxx

  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

Its raining this morning, thankful we went into town on the bus yesterday.....had an appointment at the Bank, saw the manager and he was very helpful when I explained the reason for our visit. That has put my mind at rest.

I have only just got up, it was well after 9am before I woke. OH brought my breakfast in, I guess its the tiredness catching up on me. I have been living on the edge a bit the last few weeks.

I discovered yesterday why our GP is off, she fell on some steps and broke both her elbows, ouch.........it will be sometime before she is back.

Nothing planned for today, will just be taking it easy, might have a nap whilst OH is having his siesta after lunch. Need to sort out the supper, beef casserole, veggies etc. We are not eating dessert just now.

Redruby, I would go and get another sick cert. If you go back and even work 5 days you are going to be back to square one, its just not worth it, you need to be really recovered before you go back.

Nels....I hope we get better news re Holly soon, her treatment is despicable, totally wrong........I makes me very cross when I read how consultants can treat people, they think they are Gods.....

    Good afternoon everyone :hello:

Congratulations to you JackieO on the safe arrival of your great grand daughter, she sounds absolutely beautiful :).

I have seen 3am every day this week so I went back to bed this morning. Unfortunately I had forgotten a man was coming to do an asbestos survey and he arrived at 8am. Fortunately Steve is still home today so he was around to let him in. Now I have had a shower and bacon butty I feel human again.

The postman has brought me a lovely unexpected cheque so I will be able to pay off my overdraft and have a little left to treat the girls this Easter. That was such a nice surprise, Steve has just left to put it in the bank for me.

Our friends from Wales are supposed to be holidaying in the area and wanted to meet for a drink but we haven't heard anything from them yet. I hope they still have the time as they are more Steve's friends and he is looking forward to having a catch up. My anxiety is kicking in but I will power through for Steve's sake. I'm sure it will be fine and we have years of news to talk about including the arrival of grandchildren and pets.

Chicken curry for tea tonight so I remembered to defrost the chicken last night. I am hoping Becky will help to cook it as I could do with a hand to chop up the veg for it.

Redruby, I can only echo what others have said and ask you to think about not rushing back to work. You do need a proper rest and recover, the last thing you want is to go backwards. Take it easy and allow yourself time to get better x

Well, that's all from me for now, hope you all have a great day whatever you are up to, take care xx

    Congratulations Jackie.

Nelski, I've been meaning to say, if you pm me your account or paypal details I'll send a contribution for the things you've been sending to Hollie.

Just back from picking up Ziggypup from DD's, she's ours for the next three weeks which will be great fun! DD seemed in quite good spirits which made me feel happier about her, I just hope the hospital can help her.

    Congratulations and what lovely news.

Spent most of the morning on the phone with a dd and just realised I have not had breakfast so a pot of tea and
some scrambled eggs on toast sound like a good idea.

Youngest has just had the offer of a new job which is nearer where she lives, a couple of thousand a year more and looks as if they might give her the experience, training and development which her present job promised - and promised - and promised!!!!!!!!!!! Fingers crossed that everything works out the way she would like.

Someone is coming to do a bit of gardening this afternoon so don't want to go to the post office till they arrive as I don't want to miss them.

I finally got around to putting a display cabinet and cross trainer on freecycle locally so am hoping they will be collected and that will help clear up the place.

No idea what to cook tonight but will see if anything looks tempting in the local shop , maybe a gammon steak with wedges and pickles.

    RedRuby

I thoroughly agree with the idea of a fit note as going straight onto a seven day shift is ridiculous.

    Hugs to all

Afternoon - back from work and having a slice of cake and a cup of tea.

My lone student on a Tuesday is rather cognitively challenged and finds things difficult to understand. She is an older woman who is clearly struggling with her return to education.

The cake from yesterday was devoured by my colleagues, certainly the addition of the filling in the middle helped!

The weather is miserable. My back garden is soggy. The birds are feasting on peanuts (and fighting for them) and my wet washing needs taken upstairs to hang up. I've stocked up in case the threatened awful weather returns. I have changed my planned dental appointment from Thursday until after the hols, just in case.

RR - I can only join in with the crowd saying 'get a fit note' before you go back. A seven day working rota will just set you back.

Now I need to put fresh linen on the bed. Taking it off is easy but now I'm anticipating the fight with the pillowcases. :rotfl:

    Afternoon all
Well I slept better last night, thank goodness. I can't function on 4hrs or less per night :(. Sorry everyone, but I'm keeping the Sandman for myself again tonight !
We have been out this morning for some bits and bobs and some fresh air. We also called in the chippy on the way home, so tea tonight will be a sandwich. The weather doesn't seem to know what it's supposed to be doing today, we've had rain, fog, sun and then back to showers :(.
Yesterday I put the cushion covers in the WM and threw in the ones from the caravan, just to freshen them up before we put the 'van stuff back in ready for our holidays. I can't wait :j. I have put the washed covers back on and emptied the DW but I don't know what this afternoon will bring. Not much I think, as I still haven't found my get up and go, it's more got up and gone !
I will probably sort out the bits for the easter egg hunt and I have to write a shopping list for Al*is ready for tomorrow. I don't want too much, but if I don't do a list you can guarantee I'll forget something.......... probably the list !:rotfl:.
OK enough waffling, now that's something I'm good at ! :D
JackieO congrats to you and your family. A lovely little girl, I hope Mum and baby are doing well :T
RedRuby Please think carefully before going back too soon. Seven days on the trot after sickness, is a big ask by your employers. In my opinion, that doesn't seem to be very thoughtful on their behalf.
Snoozer fingers crossed that the hospital can help your DD.
Speky What no gym or footie talk ? That's the only exercise I get :rotfl:.
Anyone seen Cranky or Tru lately ?
Hugs to anyone who wants or needs one. Hope everyone is having a good Tuesday.
