I think your plan was to clear that one by making minimums on the other cards, was it? In which case don't do what I did & forget to reduce those. Wishing you a fruitful, frugal month.
I think i will feel it when the statement arrives saying £0! I cannot wait to crack the next one. Desperate to start the new year without it!

Will take a look at your diary shortly to see how you are. Hope things are ok with your Mum.Store card £140 £117 - Store card £150 - Overdraft £200 - PayPal £364 - Loan 1 £5052 - Loan 2 £1733 - Credit card £2890 - Car hire purchase £3200 - Savings £0.0 -
I have woken up feeling quite positive!
The next two pay days (end of November and a few days before Christmas) will be about clearing the smallest credit card.
Then it will be £100 a month off the remaining credit card to finish in Summer 2020. And £227 off the loan until that finishes in Summer 2020.
I am going to give £50 cash a month to my Mum to hold onto and then every 3 months, I will pay £150 off my overdraft. Hoping there will be no overdraft by December next year.
Things do look quite different from this time last year. This time next year I will have about 9 months left of debt repayments.Store card £140 £117 - Store card £150 - Overdraft £200 - PayPal £364 - Loan 1 £5052 - Loan 2 £1733 - Credit card £2890 - Car hire purchase £3200 - Savings £0.0 -
Next December my signature will be:
Loan £1830
Credit card £1000!
My goodness...that's really something to look forward to!Store card £140 £117 - Store card £150 - Overdraft £200 - PayPal £364 - Loan 1 £5052 - Loan 2 £1733 - Credit card £2890 - Car hire purchase £3200 - Savings £0.0 -

Hello Pidge,
Just found your diary and I must say you're doing brilliantly on debt payments. Your enthusiasm and determination is brilliant. I think you've made massive changes in a short time and have stuck to your plan.
I think your debt has also come from subsidising your husband and his family. I don't think the way you manage your finances is fair. I don't think many partners would expect their partners to take on extra work to pay their bills when they have extra money. I also think you fall into the trap that many of us mum's fall in to where we take over paying ALL of the children's expenses. All the parties, clothes, childcare, activities, clubs and don't even think to ask for half back. All this despite taking a hit on our income as we are the main bulk of childcare. I don't say this to chastise you or make you feel stupid. I say it to start building up that part of you to feel stronger and know you deserve more and realise that she is not just your expense.
I think your Christmas plans sound lovely. I think all the expenses you've listed sound way more than reasonable. With Christmas trees does it need to be a real tree?
You are nailing this. Keep going xxxLoan 1 £5200/£8000

Thanks for this. It is a very dysfunctional set up we are in. From January, I will be saving £200 a month towards my exit from this very dysfunctional set up. I can’t afford at the moment to move apart but it is coming. For everyone’s sake, it needs to happen. I am going to ask for his financial support this month. I’ve been in some debt or other the whole of my adult life but this last lot of debt (maxing out 2 credit cards in 18 months) comes from giving up a well-paid part time job because it was completely untenable and taking a less well paid part time job but still continuing to pay more or less half of everything. Food shopping, petrol and phone bills went into those debts which is ridiculous. I’m heading towards financial freedom and then personal freedom from the situation I am in.Store card £140 £117 - Store card £150 - Overdraft £200 - PayPal £364 - Loan 1 £5052 - Loan 2 £1733 - Credit card £2890 - Car hire purchase £3200 - Savings £0.0

Check entitled to. I think you'd have more money if you left him. Maybe even get some advice at the cab. And find out his income and do a csa calculator. Obviously do all of this on secret browser. I'm not bossing you about although it sounds like it. I just hate hearing you struggle and being put in awkward positions with rude people when all you want to do is look after your little girl xxxxLoan 1 £5200/£8000
