Can we stop employees from having direct contact?

Are the recipients of these "joke messages" adults ?
If so then whats wrong with :-
"Haha good one, but please dont contact me again outside of work - it is slightly inappropriate"
Job done - Why do work have to get involved :huh:0 -

Well, that kinda proves my first point then doesn't it?0 -

Learn the lesson - get the full story before acting!0 -
I’m hoping the HR people come back to me soon.
The ops manager filled me in there. The guy had been chatting about the girl and his wife overheard him on the phone to his mate. But seems that she was still a bit persistent in trying to contact him (tried to message him a couple of times over the last few months). I didn’t know anything about this before.
The whole team are friends on social media now apart from these two. I think things were fine before his wife caught wind.0 -

You obviously use a different definition of persistant to me.
I would not regard weekly as persistant.0 -
So the problem didn't even stem from her messaging him, but from him talking about her to his mate? (and saying god only knows what about her)undercoverirish wrote: »The guy had been chatting about the girl and his wife overheard him on the phone to his mate.
The more you write the worse this gets.0 -
it doesn't matter if she was persistent , its still a domestic and not a work place problem
Once again, you are only hearing one side of the story, and thats second or third hand0 -
Yes just one guy it would seem. When he came to me with his mate, I just thought ok let!!!8217;s deal with this. He said he was feeling harassed by her and didn!!!8217;t want to end up treating her poorly and then her put a harassment claim in against him or something like that.0

*shakes head...*
Okay this is not at all what was first presented...0 -
Hold my hands up, I have not dealt with this properly but I will do my best to rectify it.0
