I would use the rice. In fact, when I dropped my phone in the bath, i dried it in a packet of rice and it didnt occur to me not to use it:rotfl:.

What are your plans for the summer?

Morning, first proper day of the school hols and it's pouring down.

So DD day went from bad to worse as yesterday evening she fell off her horse, horse then stood on her catching the side of her head, luckily her helmet took the brunt of the impact but she does have a big bump and cut to her forehead, DH whisked her straight to A&E to be checked out, she is all ok and was grumbling about how rubbish life is. Told her to look at the bigger picture she has an iPhone (ok it's water logged) and a horse to fall off, told her she has a very good life, she just had a bad day.

Couple of small sales made last night, desperately need to list some items on ebay which is a priority for today. Also need to cobble a meal plan together. I hate living in chaos it definitely effects my thinking. Also £5 amazon voucher redeemed.

    Priorities today -

Nip into town to collect school shirts I ordered.
Small top up shop (£20 max.)
    ebay listing.
    Wrap post ebay parcel.
    Ironing.
    Paperwork

I'm sure there is much more I need to do but this is all I can think of,have a good day.

Quick catch up with MSE before doing some housework, nipped into town first thing and picked up shirts/trousers just need to get DS to try them on to make sure they fit, was going to go to boots to use a gift card and stock up on conditioner and toothpaste but forgot the gift card so that will have to wait for another day. Then spent £38 in booths which is totally pants  especially as A) we are supposed to be eating down stocks and B) I had no kids or husband with me.
Did pay in £6 in 2ps into bank account.

I have used up a bottle of carp shampoo this morning, its ok as far as shampoo goes I just hate the flowery smell, anyway that's all used up so back to tresemme and i'm currently eating a box of chocolates which i'm sure I will empty in the next 30mins, which is a positive as its something else decluttered.

Ebay parcel boxed up and ready to be dropped at the parcel shop later by DH when he goes to his sports club.

I hope dd is feeling a bit better after her accident with the horse, and I feel your pain r.e. the phone, my dh dropped it in the sea last year whilst kayaking so had to get a new one plus contract and he's done it again a couple of weeks ago but this time he rugby tackled dd into the paddling pool in the garden!!! Luckily his mate has given him a phone and he just got a new sim card.

I don't shop in B**ts anymore unless I have a gift card, far more reasonable in Home Bargains.

I do hope you enjoyed decluttering the chocolates, certainly a job that needs lots of care and attention :-)

  • Eeek to the horse accident and iphone splashage! Had a bit of a chuckle at the posh rice used, but genuinely hope all is well now Xx

Thanks for popping ny Huggle, we don't seem to go very long in this house without a phone incident, luckily DD kept her old iPhone and is currently using that.

Chocs were carefully decluttered, although my eating has been dreadful today, far to much carp.

Hi PLMBL,all is well thanks and DD has been back out on her horse today. She has a nice bruise and cut though.
  • Today has been very unproductive and have not got anything on ebay, ironing pile has doubled in size and no paperwork has been done. I have also quite probably eaten my own body weight in chocolate, crisps and any other carp I could get my hands on.

    Epic fail :(
