Hi,
So sorry to be missing, everything is totally hectic and the last few weeks at school have just been crazy, glad to have finished for 6 weeks.
We also came to the decision that we would do the kitchen sooner rather than later, hob decided to stop working a couple of weeks ago and when DH tried to sort it, half the cabinet fell into pieces. So after some pricing up at different places a new kitchen has been ordered and DH joiner/builder friend is going to help him fit it, we decided if we didn't get it done this summer it would be next and I don't think the kitchen will hold up much longer. Which now means I am back in debt BUT it is to myself as I have used 5K of savings which has to be paid back to me, So I currently have most of my kitchen emptied into the dining room, no hob but muddling through with a camping stove and BBQ, do have the oven still working.
This weekend is a chilled one at home, DH is patching up bits of plaster from where he has taken wall cabinets down and i'm pottering trying to get on top of the washing and housework.
I'm sure there is loads more to update but my brain is fuddled and my budget has exploded this month, need to write some lists and make some plans.0 -
Also cashed out £50 from 2 survey sites and received £5 voucher for royal mail surveys.0

Thanks, it will be worth it, it's just coping with the chaos in the meantime. x0 -
Today I have managed a NSD, all food has been from stores. I chucked chicken breasts, tinned toms, garlic, courgettes and red peppers in the slow cooker, it was very yummy with roasted new pots and corn on the cob. Have some sausages and hash browns for breakfast tomorrow and taken some mince out of the freezer for tomorrow nights tea, although I have no idea what i'm doing with it.
I have devoured a whole chocolate orange that one of the children at school got me along with half a bottle of wine that was gratefully received from another child, I've not done my usual Friday grocery shop and hoping not to have to go to a shop until Tuesday when I have some errands to run in town. Going to eat from the freezer as much as possible for the rest of the month.
Made a sale on ebay so £15 for the saving pot, need to amend sig to show I only have 5k in savings and need to pay back 5k, feel so guilty about spending my own money.0 -
This time Lat year I was in chaos when I had my kitchen/bathroom/boiler and central heating done. At least you had the money to do it - I had to remortgage! Still worth it though.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Morning.
We are still in chaos, but i'm trying to keep on top of things upstairs and in the front room so at least we have some tidy areas.
DH made a yummy breakfast of sausages, hash browns and scrambled eggs whilst I hung out washing.DD has disappeared off to her horse and DS is still in bed,he will need to get up soon as he has a cricket match today, I have also volunteered him to go and help at the cricket club with any jobs that need doing, gets him out of the house and off the xbox.
I have also ordered a new hob and extractor fan this morning, used a money off code and went through quidco but was still £290:eek:.
Plans for the rest of the day are to drop DS at cricket and DD at work, take dogs for a walk and catch up with some surveys and housework. Will also have a tidy up in the garden, have to say i'm missing the hot sunny weather, fingers crossed it returns soon.
Have a great day.x.0 -
Charity bag has been popped through the door, so have decluttered some books and outgrown clothes of the kids. MUST remember to put it out on Tuesday.
Oh and DD has managed to drop her phone down the toilet, told her to put it in a tub of rice which she has done but she didn't use the bag of value rice, she has used a bag of waitrose basmati rice:mad:.0 -

This made me laugh out loud...
Does the phone now work? Maybe get her to replace the bag either via pocket money or by doing some chores...you never know, we can live in hope she will then learn
Glad school is out for you. Here its 2 more days....
