Rumrat.....THANKS! Will get the exact model number off Samsung once finished charging.....left a full 12 hours overnight to charge as a brand new Samsung battery & online it says 1st charge for 12 hours or a bit more....at 15% recharge.... Then all will be fine. If the charging case does what it says on the eBay advert then it'd be money well spent.

Thanks again.....didn't know this even existed!

That, yes aware of Skype/whatsapp but was hoping for something that did not involve the recipient of my call having to pre load an app. One of my pals is 'just' savvy enough with tech to do this....the others would struggle OR not be bothered!

I:beer:Hi! Wondered if anyone knew of a free android tablet app I can use from home on my WiFi but WON'T eat into the recipients data allowance or mean they have to have WiFi too, or load the same app as me?

Useful when my smartphone is needing to be charged (battery goes down fast....really need a new battery!), don't at all need video calling.
Can you not just plug the phone into the charger and make a phone call while it is charging until you get the battery sorted? You can use phones while they are charging.

Not recommended, unless you have it on loudspeaker and away from you. Lots of phones have exploded in peoples faces whilst being used plugged in.
Rare, when the amount of mobiles out there is taken into consideration, but, not really worth the risk IMO.

Maybe use a bluetooth headset to negate the chance of a head explosion?

So....for a brilliant price I'm getting double extra charge & a case. Without the kind help o you guys i would have NEVER found this solution. Thanks a lot guys/

If you install the Alexa app and another person has it will work on some devices. You have to try it to find out.
