You have just destroyed the resale market for bungalows.

HeeHee, I meant in other people's downstairs loos when they have an upstairs one.

But thinking about it, it could be a good selling point for a bungalow. "Your visitors won't poo in your loo and stink your house out" might add a couple of grand to the asking price ;)

Ladies use toilet paper whatever the occasion. Where will that go in the liquid only toilet?

Yes, as Seakay suggests, we have a bin in the bathroom for loo paper, which we dispose of on the wood burning stove.

Also, yes, you could just buy an ultra low flush loo but:
    a) Feedback suggests that these are not great at getting rid of solid waste. We certainly had a problem with a weak flush in my last home, so you end up standing around flushing several times.
    b) Money saving? converting your existing facilities can be done for free.

So, my initial question stands. Is anyone out there willing to give this a go?

I haven't given it a go, but I have started using my downstairs loo for just liquid and not flushing every time it's used. This may not be right for everyone but it doesn't bother me.

But what if a lady sits down, gets started and discover it's not going to be a liquid only delivery after all?

LOL, im sorry but I found this comment rather amusing but true, sometimes it just cant be helped, what are you to do if this were to happen would you have to make a mad dash to the other toilet with your kegs round your ankles shouting "out of the way ive got a turtle head".

OMG im really sorry but I just couldn't resist.

Although in our house everyone only uses one toilet for number 2's anyway.

And you soon learn to recognise if you need a number 1 or number 2!

    .

maybe. but when you've no pelvic floor left, sometimes your body can mislead you:D

I go for this one too.... 'if it's yellow let it mellow, if it's brown flush it down....' Just gotta remember to flush it if people are coming round :o or you have to kick off a convo about it quickly lol.

The obvious solution is to get a yellow loo, then no guests need ever know! ;)

Or drink blue dye so your pee comes out blue. They'll just think you have one of those blu-loo blocks.

OK, my idea of not flushing every time is working well, no problems so far and I'm down to flushing only once per day.

The only problem is the water gets darker each time you use it, mine is almost black by late evening!

I did think of getting a blu-loo to put in the cistern, but what are they made of? I don't want to be in the position of reducing the water I flush but increasing the chemicals I flush.

If they are "nasty" is there an alternative? Perhaps a drop of food colouring in the cistern?

A nice red colour would give my visitors a shock when they go, wouldn't it :D

I found this highly amusing!! Tea all over the laptop now though!

Back on topic, Red colouring would be slightly shocking but fun!
