I've not ever needed to buy double glazing, but have had Price Glass on Ashley Down road recommended to me in the past. Have walked past their shop several times in the past and though they have products on display, they look like a place that does glazing stuff, rather than a fancy showroom.

Oh yes, I'd completely forgotten about them, they're a mile away from me. I'll give them a call & see what they say! thanks! :D

Try C&L Windows, Seymour road, Gloucester. I have not had dealings with them for a couple of years, so no vested interest here. They have a sound reputation. Regardless, even if you are outside their area they were using MB Windows at Bristol as their sole supplier circa 5 years ago. So with C&L and MB as contacts I am sure something can be arranged for you. All the more so if you say there has been a plug on this Forum and you do not want to feedback anything negative!

Be cheeky, put them on the spot and see what happens!

Direct labour fitters too, which is a bonus - unless matters have changed in recent years.

But if no joy do not blame me!

I like your style! ;) It's worth a try! Thanks for the tip off ... don't worry, I won't blame you! :rotfl:

Scilly - definitely have a look at your local trading standards website - they will usually have some sort of trusted traders mark, but may also have some rogue trader info. We had a new front door fitted last year, all in it was £1,200 - nice door, pain in the neck to fit in our wonky house. We went with a local company recommended by a colleague, and couldn't be happier. We're in Yorkshire though so no help to you, but if you can get a recommendation from someone you trust, then it's often best.
