No car tax reminder!

Direct Debit for me, anything for an easier life. Would be different if you could find a cheaper alternative and easy enough to cancel if you need to.0

Don't get a reminder about MOT either yet I know when it's due!0

As above - set up a direct debit, either paid monthly or annually. At the end of the day its a bill you can't avoid - and it'll automatically be cancelled if you ever sell the car.0

It happens. To me twice - once I caught it, the other I didn't and got the 'fine'. On that occasion I wrote them back a stroppy letter saying if they introduced direct debit payments this wouldn't happen, and they told me direct debit was impossible.Frozen_up_north wrote: »Is it common for tax reminder letters to go missing (or not be sent)?
Anyway, nowadays I pay by "impossible" direct debit so don't have to remember.Proud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230 -

A couple of times I bought the disc and then forgot to put it in the window. I drove around a for a year with an expired disc and only realised when I went to put the following year's disc in.0 -
If you agree to pay by annual dd no paper reminder is sent.Frozen_up_north wrote: »

Unless the amount to be paid has changed, in which case they must notify you in advance.0 -
;74046633]Very little post actually goes missing. A disproportionate amount of that seems to be NIPs, PCNs and tax reminders.;)
Maybe lots goes missing but only those with an adverse consequence get noticed?:cool:0
