Hi all, still off work but loads better than I was yesterday, just a hacky cough and feeling whacked. Despite that I've managed to wallpaper the bits of the kitchen that I stripped about 4 weeks ago. Just got into a trance and went for it! Needless to say it was a bit of a bomb site so I've had a good clean up. Now, does that mean I've done it twice (the kitchen I mean) this week or am I ahead for next week?? Only kidding, it'll be a tip again by Monday.
Is anyone actually happy with their boob size since we're talking about it?! I've only just stopped being an A since I put on half a stone on my bum and thighs. And so it yo-yos..
Need to do some grocery shopping for visitors on Sat and Sunday but I'll have to wait 'til the hours of darkness for fear of being seen whilst skyving. Need to hop in the shower now before I go collect Blokey. Pain in the bum, he doesn't drive and lives a bus and train journey away. Tut.
If there's still a house warming for Lil_me tonight I'll see if I can get on line. I might bring a friend!
Enjoy the rest of your day and those of you away for the weekend (but still curiously on here...) have a good one.
Oh! I'm going to see Ross Noble tomorrow, can't wait! I fancy him too..

Chicken is now in the oven ready for later and I'm attempting to find some floor in DS's bedroom as he's not showing much sign of doing it!

Does anyone's LOs like Fimbles? I've got a duvet cover and curtains going spare if anyone wants them.

I suppose I'd better go and do some more - it's depressing being down here, while I'm upstairs trying to sort out up there, the LR is getting trashed down here! I knew I should have just left everything until next week!

It's very quiet on here this afternoon - I think everyone must be asleep.

Just back from 40 min walk with woof. Littles played on park for about 15 mins while I walked round and round.

Popped to newsagents for milk and their sweeties as its sweetie friday on way home. Just off to put stuff in BM for rolls to go with tea tonight. Might put kids in bath whilst I dye my hair then chuck them out when its time to wash it off - sounds like a plan;) .

    Glad your feeling better Solway:D

Juliejim - Pigpen was off to get her talons decorated this afternoon. I reckin everyone else with kids on half term have hit the bottle by now, I know I am tempted to:D .

Oh yes I'd forgotten that pigpen was managing to escape!

I'd hit the bottle with you Shell but I'm teetotal - just can't stand the taste of the stuff! Mind you, since having these pair I've been tempted a few times - I'll just have valium instead:D

Flipping Friday!! - those frightening kids rooms and spare rooms
    Level One

[STRIKE]Vacuum the floor, even if it's just where you can see
    [/STRIKE]
    Level Two
[STRIKE]Clear away anything that isn't in it's place, clothes, toys, books etc[/STRIKE]
Dusting.. all those shelves and flat fluffy surfaces!! Don’t forget the light shade and curtain pole!!!
    Level Three
[STRIKE]Strip beds, turn and vacuum mattresses!! and replace with fresh linen .. check if duvets need freshening up too!![/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Sort through a cupboard/chest of drawers and get the clothes out which are no longer wearable, too small or out of season[/STRIKE]
Wipe any sticky marks off walls and doors
    Extra Task List
    • Wash a set of curtains, nets, duvet or throw
    • Wipe the radiators, skirtings and window & door frames!
    • [STRIKE]Sort the childrens underwear.. what can you get rid of? What do they need replacing? [/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Grab a binbag and fill it with stuff to leave the house.. rubbish or charity shop or to donate to a friend![/STRIKE]
    Deep Clean Challenge
    Sort the craft stuff

pigpen - thank you! Yes, I did that, but somehow doing the striking out gives huge spaces between the lines. My pc does sometimes take a creative approach to the layout!

Quite pleased with this - especially as apart from the vacuuming, I delegated the whole lot to the owners of these rooms!:D

My treat? Oh,I gave them a tenner to go to the cinema. Worth every penny. DD and I are off to B&Q to look at storage boxes, and the running gear for the boys' wardrobe.

Bit disappointed today, as we were supposed to be going to look at the sofas I want to buy, and OH announced last night that something had come up at work, and he couldn't have the day off. I think he just didn't want to go look at sofas...

And my sister rang this morning to tell me that the bit of the ward where my mum is has had two of the four patients moved elsewhere and been deep cleaned because they have confirmed case of C dificile. Trying hard not to panic, but will be googling for as much info as I can find. Just hanging on to the fact that mum is not a confirmed case.

Afternoon all, another flyer with headache here - feel more virusy than anything else.

Took the kids to the cinema to see Stardust this morning - quite enjoyed it myself.

Swish and swipe and laundry only achieved here today. I have decided not to play catch up but set to it proper next week when kids are back - 2 Monday one on Tuesday.

Off to get DS2 and 3 from a friend now and then a trip to Lidl - see what is on offer. DS1 has a friend for a sleepover tonight so doubt I'll get much more done. Just collected heaps of windfalls apples so will create something for pudding/freezing when I return.

Lil-me hope Matthew is doing ok x

Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.
