    Hiya
Rach - sorry you didn't get the job but that's because the ideal job for you is waiting round the corner so it's just as well really!

I've done the bathroom and am refusing to do the pc area / study. I have sorted out that room so often but it's actually DH study and he is a total pig. It's time he grew up and realised the clean up fairy is fed up of cleaning up his sty. So, everything he leaves around the house gets chucked in there. At the moment you can't even see the floor, again, even though I totally sorted it about four weeks ago.

Instead of the study i've done two hours of general tidying and cleaning as we have a friend coming over. Nothing like a visitor for focussing the flylady in me! She's not arrived yet but her husband was admitted to hospital over the weekend, he's the one who has cancer again and it's not looking good. I've told her to just drop her children off if need be. I'm guessing no news is good news.

    xx

I peeked too soon - have only done downstairs loo since last post.

Have blanched and frozen some apples, made lunch (and a big mess) and chatted on phone with sis who is not popping over to use the printer.

Right one hour to go so need to tidy kitchen back up, make some sarnies to take with me. Probably wont post until tonight now.

Oh.. I wrote out a wanted list for.. lush... it came to a grand total of about £200 but covers most of the families pressies.. and restocks my pile of smellies.. I had to find boxes with no bath bombs in because I don't use them.. I have about 10 which I intend smashing up and throwing the bath for the children!

Played hostess to my gran and sperm donor.. she is STILL living in just the upstairs of her house with no doors downstairs and her heating on full ALL the time.. great isn't it.. this is since the floods in June!! She is 79 so no spring chook.. I think it is horrendous they are prioritising houses whose occupants are living in alternative accomodation, not even the ones with children!.. but at least they have doors and cooking facilities.. she doesn't even have a fridge!! WAY out of order at her age.. she said she spends all the time she is there laid in bed watching tv (it is now in her room.. well.. her borrowed one is) as it is the only way she can stay warm!!! So much for the local council!!

    I am so unmotivated today..

I've had a tidy in the front room as well picking up all the toys and duplo! Having a HUGE cuppa then I'm off to fill binbags.. one of rubbish.. one for charity shop!!

Mantra chant.. *I WILL HAVE NO CLUTTER. I WILL HAVE NO CLUTTER.* Chant with me!

I WILL HAVE NO CLUTTER.....I WILL HAVE NO CLUTTER!!!

i'm with you on that one pigpen!

my little trip into town took ages longer than planned but was fab, great catch up with friend with no men there and then browsed some shops and i ended up buying a gorgeous brown feather wrap to go over my wedding dress. at £50 jasper conran i thought it was a good buy :D i am taking it tonight to show friend who helped me choose the dress so that she can tell me if she thinks it will go ok!

also she seconded my idea for bridesmaids presents so that is another thing i can get sorted this week.

right, the plan now is hit the list again. bathroom, guest list, count invites (fingers crossed i've got enough for all the evening peeps) printer, passport form, job applications....sort stuff for tonight...

and i have someone coming to collect futon in an hour from freecycle. hooray, i should then ahve space to pile up the full packing boxes

I've just caught up with all 9 pages, and now I feel dizzy!

I was trying not to succumb to some bug yesterday, felt cold and shivery all day, so just curled up with a book on the sofa. Today I feel a bit better, so did a Level 3 in the cloakroom and bathroom. The PC desk is in the sittingroom, so gets done (if at all...) on that day. I'm sure I can squeeze the kitchen in another day, or there's always next week.

Beautiful sunshine, I should be out in the garden, but it's so cold!

Just off to drop DD and friend into town. Friend stayed over ('slept over' would get me in trouble with Trades Description...) and they are only now ready to go out. Can't imagine that will leave them enough time to find the perfect pair of jeans though!

(((vanilla)))) and (((rach))), also (((shell))) sounds like you could do with one. Stay under that duvet. If that's how you feel, it's the right place to be!

Michelle - I'm a little confused by the performance management observation. From what I had read and been told, it should have been a short discussion, and mutually agreed list of targets and CD needs set for the year ahead, and the actual performance appraisal bit next year. A good tip I was given for those extra 5 minutes, is to get the kids to go over the lesson objectives, getting them to tell you where they started from, what they have learned in the lesson, and where they are now! I always used to do that anyway, I just didn't call it a plenary session...
