Wow Brizzle you are doing an amazing job, keeping the CH off here as well but have had the woodburner lit, our wood is free (fallen trees/branches from around the farm or pallets). My DS keeps complaining there is nothing to eat but what he means is there is no carp, there is plenty of fruit, cheese and cracker etc so he wouldn't starve if he was really hungry and our chooks are still laying but as you have said the clocks may change that.0

I do feel a little mean at the no heating rule.. as it is well nippy but nevertheless we are all surviving - must be good for the constitution!
How’s you Lou? Must take a dawdle round the diaries to catch up. Been too too long... sorry all

You are doing amazingly well :T Where do you get your meat boxes from? This is something I'm considering, I'm trying to find a decent local one."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Thanks for popping by all. Penny - that’s great use of wood. I know it chucks gunk up the chimney but it feels good not to be shelling out for seasoned wood. We basically mix it in with the free stuff. I’ll keep you posted on our chickens. To be honest the rain is what affects their laying the most
Jwil - we use Stream Farm - near Bridgewater, partly because they are great and also as we use our local currency. Boosting the circular economy and all that. The beef is pricey (but simply amazing) so more recently we have stuck to pork or lamb. We love their trout and chickens too. They are also up for visits. We have seen lambs born there in the past. Check them out...
Yep plodding is a great term. Absolutely. Me too. Watched a movie with OH after a crazy week. ‘Free’ via our Prime account. Had egg on toast for tea so virtually free and the woodburner on with free wood.. definitely a LSD. But I did buy a coffee on my train journey back from London so not a NSD!
Setting out for a LS Saturday ... let’s see how it goes...
Love to all

Ooh, thank you. I will definitely look. Very local, and just what I'm looking for.

HTH Jwil:) Items ending on the Bay shortly... always think of you when we post stuff on there
Quiet day yesterday and only spends were on some beers for watching the match and some veg. Today we are going out for a birthday treat so that will be a bit, but hopefully proportionate. Tickets have been brought already so accounted for earlier in the month.
Sun is finally shining so hopefully can get into the garden too
Love to everyone and those with kids at home - enjoy

Hi there brizzle! Caught up with you at last!
You're doing amazingly well - really hammering away MSE-wise!
You've been good with the heating. I've put mine on a couple of times when it's been particularly chilly in the evening but it's off at the moment as it feels really warm in my flat at the mo!
I hope you hear about your PPI soon - dealing with these institutions is like pulling teeth!
Have a good Sunday.

You're doing well with the heating : T We've now put the heating to come on on time, having had it on for short bursts when chilly. It's set for 1hr 20 in mornings and 2h 30 evenings - I find the clocks changing coincides with us needing it on - plus the awful weather means I can stick the airer in front of a warm radiator:)I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200
