Ha ha..now thats my era...although I was always a little more gothic than indy
So...I have finally got to the PC and the scores are good. Very good. We saved 29% of our income last month (May) by which I mean we didn't spend it. WOOHOO!!! This '29%' went into long term savings eg. pension, the EF, OPs on the mortgage and also against the car CCs. If we can keep this up then we will have nothing to owe on the car in around a year :T
But..as ever there is room for improvement. We spent loads of days out/entertainment and meals. Partly as our lodger left, to give us a break from studying, because the weather was nice and also paying upfront for a day out with my parents in July. We should be more careful. So tonight we are staying in and cooking a nice veggie meal even though it'd be much easier to go down the pub...!
In other good news I am steering well away from alcohol and exercising every day..even if its just a cycle ride to and from work. We also gained £20 from TCB and I got approached this week for a new contract..small, but a good sign. I bit their hand off and will keep my rates as they were last time they contacted me. Want to look after them.
I will set some new goals around exercise and AFDs for June now and update the signature. I am losing some weight but not fast enough. I get SO hungry:p that I feel I am always eating!!
Have a good weekend folks.... brizzlegirl xx0 -
Good work Brizzle have a look a j0e wicks, find his food very filling and has helped me loose inches if not huge amounts on the scales. Got his book from the library and you can follow from there.

Thanks PF..I have briefly looked at his but then settled on Louise Parker. Less carbs, lots of protein and veg and of course some daily exercise which is the bit that I struggle to find the time for. Even 15 minutes seems a pain. But I am largely off alcohol. That must be helping, hey? personally I think I need more of a personal trainer approach. Keep asking OH as he is a lean fit bean, but it always gets put on the back burner. Maybe I need Joe Wicks instead
:rotfl:
29% is good, thanks for that beanie, and I am very pleased. if we are going to pay off the car costs in a year then we need to keep to those kind of totals.
Busy week and away for work next week, so I will either be on here loads trying to keep sane, or else will have disappeared without trace.... but don't worry. Will resurface the week afterhope to keep spends to a minimum.
Love to all

Ay up brizzie, was in you neck of t'woods fer a couple of hours on the weekend.
Most folk come to brizzle fer the SS Gt. Britain, the music vibe or a bit o'sightseeing of a few bridges...... but old Greying Pilgrim went up on the Gloucester Road a bit and sought out all the food shops/green grocers/health food shops
Got to view a few chazzers too, and ate me picnic lunch in a bear pit! Go me! :rotfl:
Liked what I saw, and hope to be back - you have been warned :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Greying XPounds for Panes £7,305/£10,000 - start date Dec 2023
Grocery Spend August 2025 £182.09/£300

Bulk Fund August 2025 £0/£100 -
Have a fab week Brizzle. Was a bit of a goth myself back in the day, black lipstick, rock hard spiky hair and studded belt
Joe Wicks does some short exercise sessions on You Tube, only 15 minutes, could be worth a try.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0
