You've got a lot on this weekend brizzle! The cleaning and decorating over a bank holiday weekend isn't how you'd want to spend it if anybody ever asked, but the feel good factor after it's been completed really makes up for it I think. Alas if you've a full on lifestyle with work, family etc, it's often the one of the few times it ever gets done. And well done to each of you!:j

Have a  later and enjoy the rest of the weekend!

    Hello Brizzle :)
Just skimmed through last couple of weeks, looks like all going well :) and what sounds like a very hectic but productive weekend so far!
Hope exams going well for DDs - its a tough time and seems to go on forever but imagine how lovely it will be once they're all done and you can all relax and just have fun! last summer for us was lovely (end of gcse/degree and a big family holiday. This summer less so - psyching up to university applications again etc  and no break planned as yet...

Update as of Tuesday.... some good, some less so. Tonnes of DIY and decorating jobs done including some large repairs that OH is pleased he didn't need to buy supplies for, just used stuff hanging around. Frugal AND environmentally friendly :) I am not sleeping well so maybe creep off for 20 minutes or so for a power nap..
Thanks guys. All good here, kids in full revision frenzy and I have spent loads of time deep cleaning our scruffy house, OH has been decorating...its not exactly a fun filled weekend, but to be honest has been very productive! We also also hosting a student for the week. Hes sweet and we are pleased to have him around. The income will be useful too, but then no more lodgers for a while...havent changed my mind about that one.

    Plans for today:

    - rework YNAB to make sure its all possible for June. Think May will have been OK, but some short weeks due to Bank Hols, voluntary work etc so income is less, plus need to find final £2k for the car payment - DONE. Looking at c.30% 'unused' income in May at present ('unused' in that has not gone on other things and in that it will go towards car etc) so very pleased about that. OH's additional income has really helped and our savings to EF and pensions etc have remained the same.
    - complete expenses for last week- voluntary and main contract - NOT YET STARTED :(
    - supporting kids with their revision, and also make pancakes for brunch. We are taking them out for tea..theyre pleased and its a nice reward for their hard work All good except DD1 is making herself ill :(
    - sort items for decluttering. Up to 15 items so far. Many more to go... 20 items have left the house
    - walk maybe with OH. Fancy getting out if we can even if its raining Lush walk early evening yesterday.
    - organise a time to sort some formalities for my parents...just remembered thats with me and needs doing so if I write it here I may do it. Nope..
    - update the bullet journal :) and write 3 blessings a day. Much to be grateful for, always I am grateful...just didn't find their way into writing in the journal...

    Have a great Sunday all

Thanks for all the good wishes. She is up and down. Currently with a friend which is nice - they are having a good time chatting and laughing. DD2 is less focussed on working but finally getting around to doing some. Lord this is like man marking.. its a full time job herding Daughter No.2 and I already have one of those!! :rotfl:

Money wise its all Ok. I think. It will all be revealed on Friday as most payments come out then. But making Tilly Tidies to one of the 'car cards'; most days which will help. Must do a chart to work out when we should pay for the car in its entirety - need to keep focussed.

Hope everyone is OK - glad you popped by PWPS... nice to 'see' you

Havent done the scores on the doors yet but a lovely day out and about at a free event. Paid for breakfast out but then so full only needed ice creams afterwards. BBQ this evening using stuff from the freezer. Result.

Love this still warm weather. Lots of hot air balloons out earlier this evening. Bristol at its best :)
