Wife sending post back to sender

I understand that,. But as I'm sofa hopping and she already has my mums address I cant see any other way around the problem.
I'm legally allowed to move back into the property when I want, something that I would not entertain with her behaviour so why cant I have my mail there? I still visit the house to see the children.0 -

The issue is as i still legally own the house with my separated partner, I am allowed to use that as my address?
Thank you
Nobody can stop you having post sent there, but its really not a good idea for all the reasons everybody has already said.
Why are you so keen to carry on?0 -
You've been given a few suggestions as to where to have your post sent or redirected. I don't understand why you aren't at least considering these?doingitforthekids wrote: »I understand that,. But as I'm sofa hopping and she already has my mums address I cant see any other way around the problem.
You can have your mail sent to your former home, but it leaves you open to having your mail tampered with, confidential information being read by someone other than you, post being returned to sender, or simply binned. I'm sure that's something you would want to avoid?I'm legally allowed to move back into the property when I want, something that I would not entertain with her behaviour so why cant I have my mail there? Believe me, I'm not. I have already set things up at my mum's address. The main point is I don't want her knowing where I am.
All she needs is a contact for me to tell people where they can get hold of me, she has that information already.
But is she legally allowed to return my post knowing that I still own the property?0 -
How would she know where you are unless you tell her?
What people? Are you hiding from someone/debt collectors?
And yes - she can return your post as you no longer live there - ownership isn't relevant.0 -
I think you're making a mountain out of a molehill.
Pay for redirection to your Mum's address. Remove the risk.
It will also reduce the risk of unnecessary conflict with somebody who, from what you say, seeks out conflict.0 -
Yes, hopefully she wont.
I'm not hiding from anyone, just trying to find out if she's breaking the law.0 -

Fantastic advice! I never thought of that. Yes, I only want to distance myself.
Thank you:T0 -
Shes not breaking any law. You don't live there, she is not even telling lies by returning mail.0
