And was it without your knowledge or consent?
Did you report it to the Police?0 -
Yes I absolutely knew nothing about it, which if they check the call recordings they will be able to verify that is the case.
I did not report it to the police as E2save assured me they would get this sorted out and I wasn't sure if reporting it to the police was the right thing to do.I am now three months down the line and am not sure how to proceed.0 -
I would now be reporting it to Actionfraud and Trading Standards.0
-
As above, report it now. The fact you've waited 3 months won't look good to the fraud dept of the network, but there's not much you can do about that now.0

Thanks I will, I waited three months as the company that allowed the upgrade assured me they would sort it out, as soon as they confirmed I was not the one on the call, otherwise I would obviously have done it straight away.
Okay have gone through the Action fraud website and answered the questions it has come back with this
Thank you for taking the time to fill out the Action Fraud report. From the answers you have given we believe that no money has been lost. If details, cards or cheques have been stolen but no money has been taken so far, we do not need to take a report. However the police would be interested in the information you have regarding this incident to assist in future investigations.0 -
I would take a two pronged approach.
I would personally pursue with O2 firstly - Ask for your PAC as you never extended your contract (by an upgrade) and force the issue with them.
Ultimately, you have no contractual relationship with cpw/e2save as you didn't instruct the upgrade either.
You want both to revert you to a pre-upgrade position. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
