Both husband and self have had the same email about our “ISA’s?”, which neither of us have (only the internet savers).

I did what I normally do with most of the correspondence I get from Tesco’s, which is ignore it, as sadly most of the time they don’t seem to have the faintest idea what they’re doing, particularly in regard to savings accounts.
A cunning plan, Baldrick? Whatever it was, it's got to be better than pretending to be mad; after all, who'd notice another mad person around here?.......Edmund Blackadder.

    Mortgage-free Glee!
    So last week: https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/banking/2018/03/tesco-bank-cancels-some-credit-cards-as-a-precautionary-measure
Some Tesco Bank customers have had their credit cards cancelled following concerns about accounts potentially being compromised.
This week, random emails spewing out.

I can't help but wonder if Tesco Bank is a bit more "compromised" than they thought

Me too - but how does Tesco know I have an ISA elsewhere?

How do all those call centres know that I've got PPI (I haven't); that I've recently suffered a workplace injury (I haven't); that I've been in a driving incident (I haven't)? Irresponsible of Tesco - but there is a lot of it about :)

I had a letter from Tesco today, asking me to call them as they're tried to get in touch and were unable to because of an incorrect phone number.

My phone number is correct on their website. With all these stories it's almost as if some mad cyber machine is spewing out random nonsense to everybody.

I too received the 'ISA' email from Tesco a few days ago despite never having an ISA with Tesco.

    Today I got the letter from Tesco stating;

We recently tried to contact you about your account. However the message couldn't be delivered because it appears we don't have a correct mobile phone number and email address on file for you

My email and phone details are correct on the website. I haven't changed either for years. So I'm not sure what is going wrong at Tesco. It's all rather bizarre!

I've just received an email from Tesco aplogising for sending me the ISA email.

I didn't get the ISA email - anyone want my apology??

    Just received another Tesco email

We made a mistake. We recently sent you an email informing you of the ISA allowance for 2018/19. This was sent to you in error.
We are sorry for causing you confusion and for getting it wrong this time.

Be interesting to see if they follow this up with an email apologising for saying they hadn't got my correct email and mobile numbers!

    That's brilliant!

The finally responded to me on twitter last night with the same message that someone else mentioned getting via messenger - so i went straight back at that point and suggested that perhaps it might be a good idea to be "Sorry" in the same way they'd made an error - ie via email, as there were going ton be rather a lot of people wanting reassurance that they haven't somehow managed to have 2 ISA's running in one year! Sometimes we really do need an eye-rolling emoji on here, don't we! :rotfl:
