  • Thanks for that ISOM, the poor thing. She's so fed up and I've had enough of it. She's a great work mate, and you're right my "boss" is a creep and a short obese one at that. I think I intimidate him lol! My hugs have been used overtime today. Poor girls split form her OH too.
Sounds like you've got the cold thing under control with all that in your body!

  • ay mate nowt wrong with being short & obese - I am but hopefully a nice person in amongst the blubber!! Have a chat with your mate re the comments - if he is in a position of responsibiliy then his comments at best could be construed as bullying & I would suggest that she speaks to his manager. WHile he may be a prat his boss would realise the seriousness of the offense....tribunals cost companies a bomb! Is it a large or small firm? Ok best off tobed, nightnurse kicking in! Hugs for you too!

  • Hi everyone!

Well after all the hard work............Christmas was pants. Not going into details as it wasn't a terrible Christmas, just a pants one and I don't want anyone thinking ungrateful so and so!

Glad it is out of the way though.........

I have a confession...........:o ...............I gave my cc a bashing yesterday to the tune of £250 on new work clothes, new work shoes, hair straightener, make up and mobile phone. I only do this once a year though so maybe shouldn't feel too bad..............

I did actually need the new work clothes and shoes and my old mobile died so that and the hair straighteners were a treat. BUT I shall resist chocolate and buying "Take a break" magazines. I have enough chocolate from Christmas to rival the Chocolate Factory! and MIL got me a years subscription for a magazine I really like but can't afford every month.

    I'm rambling aren't I!!

I am taking the deccies down tomorrow, well today and put the house back to normal so that will help me.

Went to see "I Legend" this evening - WOW!!!!!!!!!

    Anyway take care all,

    love

    1 step xx
If you wait for perfect conditions, nothing would ever get done! :T
    I'm not short - I'm condensed awesome! :p

Please issue me a number if possible xxx
  • Welcome Stressed Steph - no 81 for you! Why not tell us a bit about yourself so we can get to know you...
Sorry you had a naff Christmas 1 step....some are better than others! Re the splurge - we al do it at some stage & taking the CC with you is lethal...I REALLY try not to as its that that makes me feel more debted than the loans IYKWIM? Failed miserably last year with CC's and determined to get stuff paid of this year so will have to be disciplined or I'll end the year feeling like I got nowhere again....you do need to buy some stuff though!! Just move on and start aftesh! Hugs for ya!
Hows everyone else doing with NY coming up? I've just put the first coat on my money saving container and will use it for my £2 coins so I cant get to it! Who need a terramundi when you've got paper mache & glue!!

  • Why do you hate Christmas numpty? I loathe the fact that its got so commercial & people have forgotten what its actually about! I lov ebeing able to legitimately buy pressies, see people I love & not be on work! I know though that it can be a very lonely time of year for some. I struggle with winter generally - next year will start taking St Johns wort in August & see how I do! This year I didnt & Sept/Oct were a real struggle. I think its not being able to get to my allotment in the week, then it rains as the weekend and I end up being at home only in the dark...roll on lighter eves!

  • Hi

Just popping in to say a Happy new year to everyone and I hope Xmas was not to stressy.
Gave up smoking so feeling very happy with myself at the moment and trying to cut back big style on my drink intake.
Heres to a great 2008 to you all

  • Thanks for the welcome guys.

We I have yet to write it all down on paper, but we have a £15,000 loan until 2011, about £8,000 on Credit cards + £1000 on Catalogue.

Hubby is selfemployed, so it's also the uncertainty of his income that keeps me awake at night. I don't currently work as our children are 3 & 1years old.

I am slowly working though all the areas on this site and reducing our outgoings. Will do an SOA later tonight once the kids are in bed.

Think this site will give the the incentive I need to REALLY live frugally in 2008+ to kill these debts. Want them gone by the time the loan ends in 2011 at the EXTREME latest.

Thanks for issueing the number. Hope to get to know you all more over 2008.
    xxx
