Hey all, just popping my head round the door as a fellow long hauler.
Feeling a bit deflated at the moment having spent so much recently on non essential stuff.
The sense of guilt is so palpable today - I know some people get off on spending money getting a sense of euphoria but I just feel like i've just stuffed 10 donuts down my throat. Dont worry we're not talking extravagance just £100 quid that shouldve staying in my emergency fund.0 -
We all have days like that. The thing is is to put it behind you and not get on a downward spiral.

Must be great to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Im still plodding along in the dark.
I hate to confess this but has anyone else fell off the mse wagon in december or is it just me? Im not feeding a large family but i do like to have treats in (repeating christmas from when i was a child), i buy nicer cuts of meat than i do throughout the year and have splurged on a couple of days out - i never go anywhere being a single mum so treat me an LO to a panto trip and theatre trip. That is the extent of my social life during thd month of december.
I am feeling very guilty because ive made huge progress this year.
Will try extra hard next year.0 -

I have spent on non essentials this month and feel guilty too.
Have also eaten equivalent of 10 doughnuts in chocolate.

Hello everyone, another long-hauler here...2016 will be our sixth and our last on a DMP and I'm excited at the thought of finally being debt-free. It's been a long road with many twists and turns but I am thankful that we went this route...I dread to think where we would be now otherwise.
Keep going everyone, there will be times when it's tough or we're not quite as MSE as we should be but we will get there in the end;)
A happy new year to you all!
Take care

Thanks lucielle & gnf.... Just been looking back on the thread and noticed your comments. Still feeling totally unmotivated. Even when i pay towards my debts each month i don't get any real sense of satisfaction from it.
The debts seems too large and each payment just a drop in a massive ocean.0 -
