It stinks doesn't it, I have MBNA which is about the same, and the min payment doesn't always even cover the interest, I have to be really careful to overpay with this one!millionaire_in_training wrote: »Hi folks. I am member number 21 on here but have been neglectful. But I'm back and going to be popping in to say hi. Happyto get that's is a real scunner when that happens. It really annoys me the amount I pay every month against how little my balance goes down. Funny how it never bothered me whilst I was maxing my cards out mind you lol. All the more reason to get rid of those horrible cards. I just wish I had some money left at the end of the month to make overpayments but hey ho I never do.
Welcome back Millionaire, it is really frustrating to see how little the repayments make to the balances isn't it. We'll get there eventually though! Can I join you guys please, I have just over £18'000 to pay off which i'm hoping is going to take about 3 yearsI've had several attempts in the past, but think I got too strict and kept falling off the wagon, i'm going to be more realistic this time.

hmmm still deciding but thanks - was wondering if I would get judged for going on holiday but would be miserable if all I did was pay off debt. Hoping to ask for birthday money towards holiday fund aswell. I think not using credit cards is a good idea too
Thinking of opening an ISA as a holiday fund. Depends on whether I get a lower stress lower paid job or not.

Hi. I just did some work out of grade and booked a long weekend away in Benidorm with friends. I will look forward to that greatly. All bills will be paid in themeantime and holiday is all inclusive so no huge costs whilst I am there. My mum also paid for me and kids to go for a long weekend to Haven in Berwick in August so yes I do the holiday thing. I don't have hugely expensive unrealistic types of holidays but I try to ensure we have a break of some kind.
I am right back on track and have nemu planned and doe a shopping list so hopefully will get that for hardly any money this week. I also got a standby haircut today for £15 which I am really pleased with. It is a great cut5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
Currently CC £23,674.36 /£14,895.41/£14315.42
Mortgage £28,214.65/ £26,254.71/ £25,746.43
By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.
By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.000
