    Thank you happy :)

Not sure what to say as don't want to give you my version of war and peace :D I'm 41 with two teenagers and lots of pets, i've been in debt for 16 years, had my light bulb in 2005, debt then was about £30k+ and we were really struggling, I started ebaying and I cleared enough to balance the books at least. With the site I got the debt down to £19k and then I had depression and let it all go, I came in and out of DFW a few times over the following years, but couldn't stick with it. I tend to panic when things are bad and knuckle down, but soon as the pressure is off the spending starts again. I became a volunteer with capmoney, only doing practical things like tea making, but its given me a boost to do it properly this time. I'm working two jobs in retail, enjoy them both, but i'm on my own so it gets a bit lonely at times so its nice to have the support and chat on here.

Hope thats not too much :o x

Can I join you guys please, I have just over £18'000 to pay off which i'm hoping is going to take about 3 years :) I've had several attempts in the past, but think I got too strict and kept falling off the wagon, i'm going to be more realistic this time.

    Hi Zippy

That's about how much my debt it. I think 3 years is a realistic amount of time to pay off that amount - unless you have no social life, no holidays, don't have friends and family to get presents for or visit and don't eat much! :rotfl::rotfl:

I'm lucky (!) as in all my debts are under 8.5% and 2 are on long term low APRs on credit cards.

yep, sorry about the other day :S

providing everything goes well and the company can fold without the debts rolling over be personal im staying clear of BR and gonna just have to knuckle down and crack some hours in and get out of this :D

Spain are looking the better side.. but you know how the Germans play will get lucky somewhere along the line.

Fingers crossed you don't have to go BR that will be a relief for you Stevie
Thanks jwil, I hope to be rid of all 3 defaults if it does pay off! Afterall, they were all given to me incorrectly and by the rules should be removed. We'll see what happens if/when I get replies to my letters!
After being made a great offer today I'm really hoping to see my debt drastically reduced, too. I just have concerns re Vanquis now, as I feel they may issue a default incorrectly (they're giving me late/missed payment markers on my credit report although my payment arrangement is with Connaught and I'm not behind with it!) and give me something else to deal with! I think I'll borrow more money off my friend to pay them off next month, it's only a couple of hundred quid.

And Spain all the way, Happy! Been an interesting World Cup this time around (except for England's performance anyway!) :)

Stevieb1 - have to say again I do love your thread updates! Keep em comin, I think your good mood's rubbing off on me!

That would be annoying about Connaugt, I don't know how they can get away with it! Hope you manage to get it sorted.
