  • Evening TEK - all of your last post resonates so well! Household repairs, generous family you don't want to ask anymore, huge chunk of salary disappearing, all our own fault... If we didn't know better I'd say half of us on here could be the same person!
I've had the same as you of late, an increase in debt after paying some off, I reckon 2010 will be a better year for all of us though! Keep chipping away, it WILL come down.
    xx
  • Yes keep on chipping away we will suceed x

Thanks Chris, I see from your sig that you have done ever so well in the 3 years that you have been debtbusting. Yes I think it's a good plan, OH & I are alot more sensible with money now, we're not 100% DFW's to be honest, but we do try to live within our means & do most things as cheaply as possible. Going to make the yearly target £3,600, so if we hit this target every year we should be DF in less than 10 years, but hopefully we can pay off more than £3,600 a year, so should get there alot sooner all being well. Nice to see your OH has made a bit of extra cash HTGDF,should be able to earn a few quid extra up until Xmas myself, it is after Xmas that I think work will start to cut back on the overtime. All the best & thanks for reading.

  • Yey! Pay day! Felt well off for all of about thirty seconds before I started paying it all out again. I sometimes miss the little brown envelopes containing cash that I used to get for my first Saturday job. It doesn't feel real when it's all numbers. Perhaps if it had been cash in the first place, I wouldn't be trying to shovel my way out of this mess.

Anyway, it's card overpayment day too. Managed about £580 :j, but it was a massive stretch with big thanks to amazon and e-bay. I'm finding it hard to track my money again, with Christmas buying and now we're heading into tip month. I'm hoping it will get easier in January (though that's always a LONG month).

Hope everyone else is bearing up. :D
  • £560, not £580. Tut.
  • well done mum22...esp in Christmas month thats great!! Still on mins here but emergency fund is coming on at least...frustrating having enough money to pay one card off in full though but not being able to do it iykwim! busy making Christmas presents...
