    there you go! Welcome!!
Sahunt...re using cc...a good friend pointed out to me that every time I use my cc for the cashback its costing me 8.1% at least so MUST stop...just about to (she says typing hyperventilating!) close the account! Plus if you know you dont need clothes you really need to ask why you are buying them...for me its usually that I feel carp than need new clothes...not to say I'm perfect as paid £37 for patchwork for a quilt yesterday!

Lost track of this month but not doing too bad. Cant think of many extra purchases. Will take stock on pay day.

Welcome Willow41 good luck on your journey.

Glad to hear things heading the right way Dubgirl PMA xx

Sashanut - Spending on CCs is a pain. I struggle with my Tescos one because on the points but its all too easy for the balance to creep up.

ISOM I know £37 not good but much better than the £90 surely?

Thanks all and yippee I have a number...
    Officially 162.

Well as for today I picked up the phone 3 times and didn't make the call. Just couldn't do it. Too many tears and just didn't have the energy. So WILL DO IT TOMORROW.
A positive note, Nationwide refunded my bank charges £140. Its not in the bank yet but hopefully over the next couple of days. I have £7.50 in my purse and that is it.
    So thanks to Nationwide.
Did a double check of my finances again today and then again and then just once more for luck.
    Its bad.
I have got 5 empty jam jars to start budgeting away from the bank. Cash in and out.
I have started a sealed xmas box.
So I am on my way to climbing that massive hill....

Hmm, yes I do need to ask myself why I keep buying clothes I really don't need:confused:.......prob more than one answer to that one ISOM...

    - to cheer myself up when feeling carp
    - surfing the net when bored
    - feeling I 'deserve' new clothes as we are a tiny bit better off now:confused:
    - to avoid actually doing something else  like working!
    - bored paying back debts  get over it!!

See - LOTS of reasons, all of them pointless & STUPID. At least your patchwork will be a nice quilt & provide a hobby - if you are making it yourself.

Had a great letter re the mortgage today telling us we are more than £2000 in arrears  AFAIK we are up to date with our payments & have been all year. Got on the phone & eventually someone tells me that the missed payments were for last July 08 & also Jan 09:eek::eek:
This made no kind of sense to me, so eventually DH & I sat down & went through last years paperwork & this years too. It was very complicated; as despite telling us that we could pay any time in the month as long as the payment was made in Barclays; it seems that some payments were not credited until the following month, making it look as if we missed payments (though if added up, there were enough). Tomorrow we are going to have to phone them again & go through it all, I hope it comes out OK as I really don't want to have to find that kind of money:mad:

Also tomorrow I will get some actual work done :rotfl:
