Been keeping up with the thread but not posting, as nothing new to report  But, I have managed to 'save' (or shave lol) £50 off my Feb GC so I am planning on paying it off my first CC debt - to get it UNDER £1000 :money: Will report back once I've done it. I have been offered another 0% deal by LLoyds but I will need to do a LOT of shuffling to take advantage of it, may need to post to the threads to get help as it makes my head hurt to work it out. I do need to do it though - it must save me money so i need a kick up the rear please

Take heart all & keep plodding on, we will get there :D

Hi all, well done ISOM, I would imagine that has been really motivating. Well I have recently completed my yearly DMP review with CCCS. The payment has increased from £65 to £86 so pleased about that as a little bit more will be paid off, although at that rate it will still take me 37 years to clear!!! We are all ok no worse or better than most at the moment in terms of work, is anyone's job secure at the moment (unless you are an undertaker!). Making plans to start growing our own vegs, had a really romantic Valentine gift of 3 very cheap plastic potato growing containers, dont mind as in an ideal world, I would love to live the "good life" with chickens, bees, orchard etc, Ah well I can dream. Remember everyone PMA x

aww hugs all...its tough being long haul cos, well, its long!! Jacks paid off her last loan payment this week and it made my week...a good dfw friend becoming df made me grin from ear to ear and nearly cry in work!! Mind you shes worked like a trojan and deserves it but doesent stop me being proud!
JB - its money off and thats what counts! MBNA kindly said they would increase my interest to 34%...gits! Thankfully dubgirl in my job there is always work so that helps but some social services have made people redundent which is unheard of!! Worrying times for all of us...great the dmp payment up a bit as at least that takes money off quicker!
With all the news of losses etc it does make you wonder if its worth it but then I think of living in rented accomodation and loosing what I've worked so hard for. I may only be in a 1 bed flat but its my 1 bed flat!!

Well, a little update from me.

I took the plunge to see how many payments I had left with the AA and Black Horse Finance. The AA last payment is May and I'll be £174 a month better off and this can go towards the CC payments. In Nov I will have paid off Black Horse Finance (for my bed!) and will be £37 a month better off.

In May I will have repaid £7500 plus interest (probably £8000+)
In Nov I will have repaid £899 (0% interest)

Then I will tackle to CC as really struggling to pay anything over the minimum at the moment. I realise I haven't paid them off yet but at least I feel I am getting there. i got a bit braver and updated my sig to reflect some of my debt. When these are paid off will update it again to put the CC in and maybe even the horrible HSBC loan which I am tied to for the next 5 1/2 yrs.

Maybe this is the year I finally make some progress in paying things off at last I feel I can see a little chink of light at the end of the tunnel (only a small chink)
