Sorry ISOM, it's that show that used to be on in the afternoons with the little bald fella Dominic Littlewood, where he haggles shop assistants into knocking the prices of goods down & then gets the genaeral public to do the same! You are also doing brilliantly in the £8000 challenge, hopefully we will have paid off over a grand by the end of the month! I know what you are saying about days out & we are off to Alton Towers tomorrow as a surprise for DD. Whilst this is a little expensive we have tried to make it as cheap as possible by getting a half price ticket through the Walkers brittrip offers & also booked the other 2 tickets online which saves us another £14. Before LBM we would have just turned up at the gate & paid full whack so happy with saving a little in that respect. Also DD hasn't missed out on anything in the past to be honest & is getting to that awkward age now(13!) where she's a little too old for picnics etc. However OH & DD have talke me into getting a dog after our hols so we can start to make alot more use of our time. We have 2 huge parks on our doorstep so this will give us the incentive to get out more & not moping around the house, especially at weekends. I'm quite looking forward to be honest! All the best to you & all the other long haulers. Hello all
Sorry to hear about the car Dubgirl I would try Autotrader before the garage option.
ISOM you can update the 26% paid to 27.88% now. Great news you are ahead on the 8000 challenge.
Im happy to be near the 10% mark hoping to be nearer 23% if the car ever gets sold.:j0 -

, it is sometimes good to talk & get things out in the open I suppose, but at the same time if I'm feeling down it will get OH down too, so I've pulled through this latest downer on my own. We have all enjoyed ourselves no end today & we know that we can't have these sort of treats very often, but then again not many can, which in it's own sort of way makes treats like this more enjoyable. It took our minds off things & gave us a break from the old routine. In fact I think it was the sort of break we needed to knuckle down again & get stuck into this debt busting! Thanks again for all your support & if & when any of you are going through a bad patch, don't be afraid to let it all out on here & I will try to offer you the same level of support that you fantastic people have given me. All the best!

aww ltm...do talk to your oh...have a snuggle on the sofa and chat about it. While we are happy to support you any way we can theres nowt like a lovely hug from an OH (must get me one of those lol!!)...I bet if you do she will say she noticed you were feeling a bit naff but didnt want to hassle you plus may well admit to feeling the same herself...please share it with her. Better and worse means just that...means that when you get the good bits its even more special to share! Hugs for you & great that you had a good day at alton towers! Went there when I was at school which is, worryingly, decades ago!!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0

Thanks again to you both. You're right ISOM, I should open up to OH more often & I guess sometimes we do bottle too many things up too often & that's when the arguments tend to happen! It is ages since I've been to Alton Towers too but not as long ago a you,but then again it is only half hour down the road for me so it is so convenient to get to. DD has never been & I remember as a kid having so many happy memories of going there & we just thought that it would be a great day out for her. She loved it & says she is going there again next year with school as it is one of the trips they do on their activity days. She is off to West Midlands Safari Park in July with school & she paid the £18 for the trip out of her pocket money! We would have paid for her but she does know things are tight so she said she didn't mind using her pocket money, bless her! It just shows how much she does appreciate us & we will more than make up for it when things get a little easier! Thanks for your kind words & back on tomorrow, take care!Debt at LBM(July 1st 07)-£35,053.92 Debt on 1st Anniversary of LBM(July 1st 08)-£33,170.11 (31st January 09)-£32,318.73Paid off so far £2,735.19(7.8%) Average paid off p.m. £143.95 L/H supporter 115 DFD target February 2018 DFD March 2028.
