Well sadly our vibes weren't quite enough and I didn't even get through the first stage. Hey ho, not a surprised, although rather a disappointment. At least I tried this year! And they'll give me plenty advice about what to do before applying next year
(If I haven't stomped off in a strop and got a job somewhere else by then, that is... :rotfl::rotfl: )
Just meeting a friend for a cuppa and a debrief and then heading home - Mr Cheery has apparently laid in a load of treats (including m, I hope, a stiff gin...)0 -
Definitely a stiff gin required lovely, and have another hug from here as well (NOT an MSE dodgy one!)

I'm really sorry to hear you didn't get through this time Cheery
All that hard work won't be wasted though - you've made some great progress towards your goals and have already got a head start on next year. Well done - you went for it and you should be very proud of that.

PP xxOriginal mortgage £112,000 . Final payment due August 2027.
Mortgage neutral achieved August 2020 - 7 years early!!!0 -
Thank you lovely people :kisses3: Yes I'll definitely be trying again next year. I've already been accepted to do something that I've not done before that I can stick on the next iteration of the form so all good! :j
Today is definitely NOT an MSE dayJust come back from our second cafe trip of the day (the same cafe
:rotfl: I think the staff thought we were mad, or that they were going mad :rotfl: We were first in this morning and last out this evening :rotfl: ) Heard a weird clanking noise and on further investigation it turns out the cellar is flooded
There's a well down there, and it's always been pretty damp, so fortunately there's nowt down there but empty bottles from the previous owner's wine-making attempts, and a bit of old crockery (not ours) that we never bothered moving. For all we know it's done this before when it's been wet but we've not seen it - it's not clanking any more now and I wouldn't have thought to go down there if I hadn't heard it.
Not too worried - the ground is just completely saturated here at the minute - driving to the cafe is literally like driving up a river  and it's impossible to even get from the house to the car without getting your feet wet (I really must sort out the path one day...) I assume it will go down again if it ever stops raining  and if not, well, we might rent it out as a swimming pool :money: :rotfl: :rotfl:0
