Ha, yes it's very tense waiting for Agent Million! I did have a missed call earlier, but it was just the hairdresser (I mean I could do with a hair cut, but not as much as I could do with a million pounds!) 😂😂5

I got very excited when my land line rang earlier... but it was just the T£$c0 delivery driver ringing to ask if he could deliver early 😆https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6623005/happy-days-in-our-golden-years/p1?new=1

I suppose it's possible they've got several million in another account 😂 but it's making me cheerful imagining that they haven't, so let's stick with that!
Another granite trip this morning. I don't know whether we're just really demanding or what. I spoke to the bloke on the phone who said he'd be able to give us a vague idea of prices, but the woman on the day said she couldn't, because it all depended on the size of the kitchen, the sink cut out etc. I KNOW that, I'm not stupid! But a vague idea of how much the actual granite costs would be good.
She went to get someone else, who she clearly told we were a nuisance, because he came out with quite a combative air, explaining that it was impossible to give an idea of prices because 'most of the cost of your kitchen is stuff like appliances and taps'. Really?? And of course the cost of granite 'will completely depend on the size of your kitchen, how many holes you have cut out for things etc.
Well, yes, again, i'm not bloody stupid 🙄 but the actual granite does have a cost, and the cost of one slab of granite will be different to the cost of another slab of granite. Is it really that difficult??
Anyway. Started waffling about how it would be different if we needed two slabs, so I sent him the actual plan, and he thinks they can get it out of one. Right, that's a start. Showed us the very cheapest they have (see, you DO know which is the cheapest, well done!!) - obviously we don't like it 😂😂 Pointed to one on the wall we did like - he went out the back and said 'that's about £70 a swuare metre' - again, well done, you DO have an idea of price, because you'd previously said they ranged from about £80to about £200 but you couldn't tell us which was which, because it would depend how many sink holes etc.
This has a complete whiff of some kind of racket, and I'm not impressed with this guy either, although he has agreed to do us a quote for one type.
I also sneakily did an online quote with rock revelations as well while he was !!!!!! about 😂😂8 -
