Don’t give up on Populous yet Cheery and SC - I only joined Just before you both and I’ve got the equivalent of £18 in there already. As Chiglepig says, it’s sporadic!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Will keep trying for now! Not actually any effort to occasionally check for an email...
I'm on an all day training course today 😮 obviously online. OK subject, and plenty of breaks, but still. I do miss training courses where you could wander about, get a cuppa and chat to whoever was next to you!
Didn't sleep very well last night, and got on the sofa at 6am as I was just too restless. Did go back to sleep after that but feeling a bit washed out now 🙄6 -
Sorry to hear you didn't sleep well Cheery - it makes for a long day after, I always find.
Yes, being able to mutter under your breath to your neighbour was a key part of in-person events/trainings/conferences.... can imagine it's nowhere near as much fun now! (And you have to provide your own tea, coffee and biscuits! Very unMSE!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

I know! I always get most cross when someone else is eating biscuits on screen and won't share 😂😂8

Ooh, I know what else. I ordered the Hello Fresh box with the MSE discount below. Quite a palaver. The website was being SO slow and I couldn't see anywhere to just filter vegetarian recipes, so had to scroll through all 34 to choose 🙄 there were 5 or 6 veggie ones, I think I went with some kind of aubergine and walnut spaghetti thing, halloumi pasta, and... something else, maybe a curry. I'll likely only have the first one, clearly the full price won't be worth it and I suspect even week 2-4 discounts won't either for me, but I figured a few relatively easy and healthy meals wouldn't go amiss while we've got all this upheaval going on. I'm mostly eating porridge and toast at the minute so it's got to be an improvement on that!10

Cheery, I'm glad that drilling into the terracotta toilet pipe went well! I remember when we were doing the kitchen in our first house - we lived on 'meals' from the slow cooker and sandwich toaster, didn't even have a microwave in those days. Hope that you enjoy your Hello Fresh meals as a change from toast and porridge.
We are off to Bath shortly, spending a couple of days there with our son (who is now 35). he lives in London, so we will meet him at Bath Spa station. It's a pity the weather has changed, although I'm glad that it's not as hot as it was; sightseeing in 30C temps would have been a bit much for me.It's not difficult!

Used to work in Bath and lived nearby. It’s a lovely city just to wander around. Have a lovely weekend hb2. Don’t recommend the spa water in the Pump Rooms it tastes disgusting6

Morning MSE chums, hope Bath is going well hb!
Rainy here, but that's ok - we're off on a little adventure to visit my sister (or, more accurately, her new puppy) She's off work this week, I of course now have Fridays off, and it's a nice little excuse to get out of the way of the builders for the whole day.
Nothing much to report. Made £5 on the Happy Wheel this morning, and about £35 yesterday, and currently up to £51 for September. Not started Mr Cheery off yet - we're waiting for his new bank card to arrive first.
I sat and sewed up my bra strap yesterdayI noticed the stitching was coming undone on the main back strap which could easily have spelled disaster in a cartoonish fashion
Disaster averted, and I sewed up a few holes in my favourite top as well, which is clearly on its way out, wearing through in all kinds of places, but I've made it last a bit longer at least.
Might need to do some clothes shopping before the new term starts. Just charity shops, but at the minute I only really have two things that I can wear for work that will fit meWell, clothes shopping or losing a bit of weight I suppose... Kind of feel like clothes shopping is more realistic in the next 3 weeks...
Anyway, best get off, got a puppy to play with!
