Morning MSE chums.
I am BORED today. Well, in reality, just hormonal, but it is manifesting as a complete lack of enthusiasm for ANYTHING I have to do, and as I have no immediate deadlines in the next day or two (although still plenty to do) I'm struggling to get motivated enough to do anything much...
Nothing much financial to report. MB slightly better than recently, made £4 this morning, bringing April's grand total to minus £2 🙄 Pathetic!
Prolific is still sitting at £9.37 with £1.81 pending as it has been for days, most vexing. I know I COULD cash out, but I do like to wait til it's over £10.
First jab tomorrow! So at least that's something to do 😂
I'm so listless I don't even want a cup of tea! What is the world coming to?!9 -
OK. One tiny thing done - I've rung the scrap people. They've confirmed £182 for the car, even though it's not running, so that's more than I was expecting. I think I'll take the garage fees put of the existing car maintenance pot, and the new car out of the new car fund, and add the scrap money to the kitchen fund - all just shuffling i know but feels like a satisfying way of doing it!8

That's something then, Cheery, even though you feel bored. I recognise the boredom, absolutely I do - we all like variety in our lives. Hope you find something a bit more enjoyable, especially some cake with some tea.2023: the year I get to buy a car7

🤗 I am lacking both motivation and focus today, plus dd is in a foul mood with me for no reason that anybody including her can discern, on top of that I had a dreadful nights sleep and when I did sleep my dreams were disturbing.
Hormones are possibly contributing to both mine and dd's difficulties 🤗

Oh dear BB, hope you all feel better soon too!
We did indeed find tea and cake KC - wasn't planning a cafe trip but decided as both of us were out of sorts it might jolt us back again... which it did. Also the scrap people rang and arranged to collect on Monday afternoon (which means the money will be with us on Tuesday afternoon), and when we drove past the garage, the car was back outside, so we stopped there to clear the last of the stuff out and drop off the V5c form.
Then near our house we spotted an elderly neighbour out doing some walling, so stopped for a chat. Then an even more elderly neighbour (90) fell off his mobility scooter into the road, so we spent a while picking him up and getting him back on it. Followed him back and made sure he got in safe. He offered us a goose egg (from someone else's goose 😂 ) which he promptly forgot about, but also offered us three sacks of coal that he can't use cos his wood burner only burns wood apparently.
We're still using up the coal that was here when we bought the house, but that's nearly finished now, so this will likely see us through at least another winter.
So I'm now far more cheerful, nice to see one neighbour, and to be able to rescue another - still not got much work done though!! 🙄11 -

Ooh, had a prolofoc study that paid £6.50 with a follow up for another £3.50 in a couple of weeks! Never had a nice one like that before. Available total is still sat at £9.37 though!
Realised it's payday today! So some shuffling to be getting on with later.
Still getting nothing done. Literally, nothing. Deleting emails as they come in, talking to you lot, reading the paper. Shocking behaviour, and most unsatisfactory.
I think I'm going to plan to finish at 4pm, and before then see if I can get just THREE things crossed off the to do list, and make a more coherent plan for Monday 🙄9 -
