On days I'm at home and wanting to remind myself to move about from time to time I resort to setting a timer to prompt me so I absolutely hear you on that one too.
Eggs are in short supply around here too - I managed to get a box of 15 (my usual size to purchase, before anyone judges!) on Saturday, but there weren't to many left at that stage.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Well I've actually currently got 9 eggs (!) Stockpiling indeed. Will have to tell the ladies to ramp up production. They're currently just standing around under the garden swing seats, lazy things.
Timer hasn't worked so far - I was on a roll so thought "I'll just finish this one thing" and I've been sat down for an hour and a half!! Currently standing up cooking lunch though...8 -
That is so me Cheery, with the timer and the 'one thing'...

I also do the timer thing, to make myself actually get up I place the timer somewhere I have to get up to turn it off. I also use a very annoying alert sound, so I don't ignore it.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Very well done with the diploma Cheery x
Does getting up to put logs on the stove or go outside to collect eggs count as exercise? (only joking of course) Because we are constantly doing that mainly the logs on the stove bit. We are getting plenty of eggs at the moment even though we have a hen who has taken a real liking to the taste of them. Hopefully, your girls will pick up soon with their egg laying Cheery moving into the warmer months. I didn't know that the shops were low on eggs until catching up on your thread today.
Might try the timer thing suggested here especially when the weather is bad as I think that is a really good idea to keep us moving about. Like you Cheery we can do more outside when the weather is much nicer.

Fetching logs definitely counts as exercise edwink!!
Well I managed a bit of standing up in the end - good job really as tomorrow is an eight hour teleconference (!) Wasn't planned that way of course but needs just in the circumstances. Fortunately it's only audio not video, so I can do a bit of tidying up away the same time!
I did see someone somewhere had written out a little timetable for folks who had small kids at home all day - 9am outdoor play, 10am writing, 11am Lego etc. I was busy thinking I might need something similar, then I saw someone post a perhaps more realistic one that said 9am Frozen, 10.30 Frozen 2, 12, lunch, 1 iPad 😂😂 sounds more like what I'd be doing! Not envying people who are trying to work at home and look after kids at the same time right now 😮
Got found to ordering chicken food and a meal bin to keep our in today but the rest of the day has been entirely work related faffery then a nice long shower this evening.8 -
I hope the 8 hour teleconference goes well cheery! I'm wondering if netflix subscriptions have gone through the roof with this situation!

Wow - 8 hours Cheery - that's painful!
Today mine was 1.5 hours, but I had the forethought of plugging headphones into the mobile so could walk around the house and tidy - nevertheless, if felt as if the telecon would never end!
On a happier note, yesterday I discovered a duck nesting in our herb bed by the kitchen door! Didn't even see her there until she got startled and flew off revealing 7 blue-green eggs. An anxious afternoon wondering if she was going to come back & then happily this morning we saw she had nestled down into a ball, almost invisible amongst the daffodils, rosemary and thyme. When she left this afternoon to forage for water & food in the neighbours garden, I had a peak and she had created a blanket of dried straw and daffodil leaves to keep the eggs warm in her absence.4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!!
