Chasing a refund from CarParts4Less

Hi
I've been chasing a refund for a car battery from CarParts4Less.co.uk that was return over three weeks ago. It was for a cancelled order that they sent out anyway.
I've been promised this refund three times now, and every time I've waited, realised nothing is coming through and then got back in touch only to find nothing has been done, but this time it'll go through urgently and sorry for the inconvenience.
And then nothing... restart the cycle.
This is really starting to get me down and I'm not sure why it's so difficult just to refund me my money.
Is there anything I could do to escalate this? Even before the refund issues, this has been the worst online experience I've ever had.

Thanks
Andy

Lodge an official complaint and if you paid by credit card get them involved to perform a charge back. If the item cost most than £100 you are covered under Section 75 laws, but even if less than £100 the credit card can will still cover you and do a charge back.
CarParts4Less are just an online only version of EuroCarParts, so should be ok to deal with. However official complaint and credit card charge back are your next options.0 -
Unfortunately it wasn't a credit card - it was a debit. I did ask for a postage address to escalate to, but they wouldn't give me one. I'll have a look through EuroCarParts site and see if they have any better information.
Cheers for the help!0 -

A chargeback is still open to you. You should contact your bank and inform them what has happened and request that they instigate a chargeback for the amount in question.0 -

From their "terms and conditions" web site ( https://www.carparts4less.co.uk/terms-and-conditions )
"We are registered in England and Wales and have our registered office and main trading address at Car Parts 4 Less Limited, 1 London Street, Reading, RG1 4QW."
More company information here, including directors of the business: https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/075964620 -
Thanks everyone - appreciate the advice!0

It's a very long story, but the quick version is I ordered a battery for next day delivery, paid the extra and phoned them to confirm it was in stock and all was fine as it was urgent (as in car not working!)
Waited in all day Friday (day holiday from work) to get a message from DHL around 3pm to say the parcel had been collected and was out for delivery monday. So I rang them back and they confirmed it had only been shipped that morning and as they don't deliver weekends it would be monday, so I cancelled the order and the CS guy confirmed that DHL had been informed of the cancellation and my refund had been processed.
So then I had to get to an auto shop and buy a new battery. Fitted it and all good with the car.
Come monday I get a message saying the other battery is out for delivery. No one in to accept the parcel, so wasn't too worried, but they left it with a neighbour.
So I phoned them back to collect and they say fine.
No sign of anyone by wednesday so I ring again and get told, oh no, DHL won't pick up a battery (even though they delivered it).I'm told I have to drop it off a shop about 10 mile away. Bit more complaining and explaining and they agree to get someone from the shop to collect, which they do.
This was about three weeks ago and they've confirmed receipt. They refunded the 3.95 for next day delivery straight away as a good will gesture, but I'm still down £50 after several live chats and calls.
Altogether I've logged almost 3 hours on the phone to their customer services - at the end of the day I'm out £50 and have nothing to show for it.0 -
I ordered 5 parts from carparts4less. I received box with 4 parts in. emailed a request to them and received a reply that they would investigate.
Now they don't respond to my emails. Live chat just cuts off and tried for 30 miutes to call them and gave up.
Avoid!!

Write something about it on their Facebook page, don't let them divert it to messenger as that means they can just fob you off, only use messenger to give them personal info. Keep at them.0
