    Hello everyone

Haven't been around much - I've been resisting the urge to eat as mum has been a little cantankerous this week and I've been worked up as son has had an interview for the Police.....and I always comfort eat when I'm stressed.

Well done everyone whose lost / sts and commiserations to those that gained.

I'm going swimming AND the gym tonight in a vain attempt to create a loss for tomorrow...will just have to see if the gods are smiling down on me.

We're going out next Saturday for a black tie dance so whilst I'm not buying a new outfit (wearing something I last wore 15 years ago lol) I have bought my self some new underwear .....and it isn't from Tesco & that's all I'm saying.

Food wise I'm not sure what's on the menu but will be SW friendly as I really need to get Christmas weight off.

Well I do hope the underwear has the desired ... impact :eek::eek::eek:

Hope your son's interview went well x

    Morning all.

+1/2 lb for this week - not a surprise really. What was more of a disappointment was looking back at old threads and discovering it's taken me 6 months to lose 10lbs! Although I don't stick to it 100% most days are on plan and weekly I'm rarely over on syns. Its so frustrating when I'm within 2lbs of target weight. So - my plan for next week is to stick to it rigidly for the whole week, no excuses, and see where I end up at the end of the week. I'll throw in a couple of speed days too though I do find it difficult being a carb fiend.

Back later when I've had chance to read back.

    Commiserations on your gain, esmy.

    -2lb for me this week.

Beef lobby is in the slow cooker for tea this evening - think I'll have a kipper for breakfast and possibly a mushroom omelette for lunch.

Syns - 3 for casserole mix
Snacks - melon, clementines, muller light

    :T:T:T:T:T well done

I hope it does as well the cost of the stuff....how can so little material cost so much??

We won't hear how he's done for at least a fortnight but crossing fingers as this is the 2nd time he's applied & if you fail you have to wait for at least 6 months before you can reapply...provided the force you want to join is recruiting.

Well WI today saw a -1.5 lb so I'm only a 1lb of my pre Christmas weight :rotfl:

Emsy don't know if this is true but people in my class are swearing by the effects of eating watermelon for increasing weight loss...worth trying perhaps to give you that extra push?

As far as food is concerned today I came home to a bacon (grilled) roll & son is taking us out for a meal tonight as a belated Mother's Day meal & an early birthday meal (not for another fortnight but we're out next weekend & then away for our birthdays).

Will be watching the rugby but will stick to soft drinks to try & minimise any damage.

    Have a good day everyone

Esmy as you're so close to target I would say don't try too hard - it usually has the opposite effect! I would look at portion sizes as if you're sticking to plan most of the time and not losing it could well be you're not getting enough Speed foods - make sure you're having at least a third over the day, better still half. Good luck for a good loss next week.

Been out and bought some stuff for the car prior to the long drive tomorrow. Filled up the tank which will hopefully get us there! Also bought more screen wash - don't want to run out if the weather is as bad as it is today where the wipers need to be on most of the time, salty air is a pain!

DH also needed some new mocasins so we're now more or less packed ready for the off early tomorrow.

    Today's plan:

B - marmalade on toast - HEB + 4 (really fancied marmalade this morning!)
    L - carrot & lentil soup
D - steak, SW chips & mushrooms (using up the steak we brought home from the restaurant yesterday!):money:

    HEA - milk as usual
    HEB - bread
Syns - low fat spread 2; marmalade 2. May have some Ryvita Rye cakes later and/or hifi bars

    - 2lb off for me this week which I'm pleased about given my very recent travels. I'm now 1lb off a 2 stone loss and 4lb away from the top of the normal BMI range.

I had a little try on this morning and everything in my wardrobe now fits me again though a few bits and pieces could be a bit more comfortable round the waist. I'd actually like to drop another 20lb if I can which would put me in the middle of my BMI range and another dress size down but I'm just going to take things a week at a time.

I think this is my problem, trying too hard, dont always have hexb either, but making sure i have it every day, 3/4 of my meals are speed so i know thats not the problem for me, but really back to basics this week, thats why i wanted to work out picky tea syns, i know i will have about 45 for tea, will document it when i have it.
Every mortal in my chops is being recoreded this week, no skipping anything:D

Bubbs Hope the "going back to basics" works for you and you lose what you're hoping for.

Going to Devon on a full board activity holiday! Hoping the weather improves as we've booked to play golf Monday, Wednesday & Friday mornings! We can also book while we're there if we want to play extra holes or days (we're allowed 27 holes a day but have only booked for 18 on each day).

Also going to play some short mat bowls which we used to play regularly up until about 6 or 7 years ago. Will also do some swimming.

Not sure what else we'll do but we can try loads of different things but all have to be booked on the day so it's a case of seeing what's available and at what times.

Not sure what the wifi will be like as it's near Dartmoor so may not be the best but we'll see!
