Worry about money
why would any of us worry about money :rotfl:
Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
I think we can worry too much about food. If you look at the wide variety of diets people live and thrive on around the world - the human frame seems to be able to adapt pretty well.
There are many other possible reasons for feeling run down, worrying about money being one of them. I hope you can shake off your illness. Can you sit in the garden and get some sun on your face while it lasts?
Oh yeah. Thats me. Not the worrying about money only, but ... other.... let's call them existential issues:eek: Who am I? How do I identify myself? And so on....
And now that I've freaked out a goodly proportion of readers, I'm going switchoff - get some of the last sun, as Seaxwyn mentioned!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Um, before, I think. I'm in the normal range weightwise - I went to my doctor recently cos I thought a mole needed investigating, and he said I was in good shape...
It doesn't neccesarily show up in your weight. And there is this whole thing about the news of new research - in those adverts from the 1950s, cigarettes are supposed to be good for you!
Yes, but adverts have always been in the realm of the fanciful, factless and downright flakey...
"Scientific research" is *supposed* to be a little better...I reckon as long as its a veg or a fruit, or not too processed (we've been eating flour for thousands of years, after all) its not too bad. I'm back on the wagon when it comes too over processed foods, tho - I've eaten all that German chocolate, "fortunately" - no more sweet shop goods for me.
Well think of the Inuit. Their five-a-day are boiled blubber, fried blubber, roasted blubber, grilled blubber and stewed blubber. According to scientific research they should be dead before they're born..."Scientific bias according to funding" -absolutely, its the first thing I think of when I hear some new research result.
Which is a scandal..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)
"We were born and raised in a summer haze." Adele 'Someone like you.'
"Blowing your mind, 'cause you know what you'll find, when you're looking for things in the sky." OMD 'Julia's Song'0 -
Gosh am feeling so unhealthy - really need to sort out diet and plan meals again to get balance. Karma - hope you're feeling better soon. Take care.0

Hi Dragon, Mizmir - Z too, sorry I missed these posts yesterday. Going to the doctor - not this time, I feel better again today, I think I really am on the mend now. Now I have to improve the quality of my sleep, and get fit, both of which will help my immune system tremendously, I think.
I may have had a secondary infection, and its occurring to me now that I've cleaned up before and after the builders have been here that maybe my allergies have contributed to my lack of health.
So, a cleaning plan emerges. Should emerge. In delving under the sink to find some furniture polish (the bottle is full, and I've had it about 10 years....) I found a sponge fitment to the mop thing I used to use. Weekly mopping should be the order of the day, I think. And dusting, with the vacuum cleaner. This is dfw in that I won't lose money by being ill (self employed here).
Z - love the radium advert!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

I'm glad you are feeling better Karma! Being ill and self employed must be a nasty combination! I am guessing you will not earn any money and that is never good.
So well done you on deciding on a plan to try and solve this in the future (from the Dragon who is another pound lighter this morning!)Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup
