Thanks Olive - I've got a weird few days here. I was meant to be on holiday, but I'm not breaking even some weeks, so I decided to work the first day, and now its turned into working the 2nd day as well - I still take over 7 weeks, so its not disastrous really, its just odd. And its *really* busy - in these 2 days, I'm taking maybe 75 - 80% of what I do in a normal week, which really helps the average weekly income. But it means I haven't even looked at how to get photos up online.
And I'm going to a seminar in St Albans all Thursday, and then off to my mum Friday - Tuesday, cable broadband installation Wednesday, routine medical thingy Thursday - and the Friday, I'd like to go out and play!
I'm still doing fiddly bits of dfw work - clickthrough during long phone conversations (= monologues) with my mum, just done another yougov survey - doing a few free surveys really seemed to work - scratches, what other surveys I can. Mostly I'm working, and decluttering.
Oh, and chocolate update - chocolate definitely upsets my stomach, and gives me a migraine as well if I eat too muchsince I can't have chocolate without eating too much eventually, I'll have to stop. Hey ho.

Hope your busy days go well! xDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Hi Red!
To be honest, when I know how bad I feel afterwards, I don't care. It means I have to work a bit harder at finding scrummy things - and it probably means those will include fruit, so I'll be healthier. I remember the 2nd big health push I had, about 10 years ago, I'd never felt so good in my life - its really worth it. Since my basic nutrition is apparently good, if I stop the toxins and add even more good food, I'll feel great - thats all any of us really want, isn't it!
How are you?????2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
That's a good point about feeling better - I have almost stopped missing the dairy things because I know I feel so much better. I'm OK, not sleeping well but otherwise things are alright!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

Snowed under with work the last few days - all paid, so thats good - so I haven't been on mse at all, not even to lurk, sob .... this is a day of rest, sort of, between work and seminar trip/trip to see my mum, but actually its full of packing and decluttering and remembering Must Do stuff. Decluttering (i.e. going through files and throwing things out) and the subsequent shuffling of stuff on bookshelves, feels great - I wonder if I collect things so I can chuck them out in 5 years time???
God I hope I'm not so shallow that I get my kicks like that!

There was a mystery shop in St Albans for Thursday - it involved buying a bottle of wine and a large bar of chocolate
I couldn't do another one....
I should avoid wheat as I get indigestion, but wheat is such a great chunk of a DFW's diet (packed lunch is a sandwich or soup & a roll, pasta is so cheap....) I've cut down, I get heartburn less, but I haven't cut out my wheat at lunchtime0 -
Karmacat, I think I mentioned before that Chocolate bloats me ( very attractive ) and that I was thinking of getting tested as DD is coeliac.
On the 'non-chocolate' scrummy things front. Mr T sell, in the biscuit section, the little Italian round ( ball ) biscuit things made from 70% Apricot Kernel Flour......they are flippin' lovely! I will make a visit and report on the name....they are the ones that are a liitle bit crunchy, soft and chewy all at the same time withut being too 'almondy' ....getting excited here!:D stay wonky
:D
....one-way ticket to Portugal booked !0 -
Oh I've done a few of those in my own town, Olive! I found they're quite detailed .... and I better not do any at the moment, unless I gave the choccie away immediately.
Pepe! Oh my god, that sounds wonderful.... apricots and almondy type stuff, I love those things separately and in combo. Please report back asap!
I'm pleased at having decluttered today - the paperwork already "reported on", lol, and also more sweeping of the floor in the garage. Lots of grunge - leaves and dirt blown in, plus old flowerpots upended and general dusty carp. Most unpleasant - I've realised it probably harbours all sorts of unpleasant creepy crawlies, so getting it out is a *good* idea.
And in a sort of farewell gesture, I used a firelighter to burn the pillowcase that my cats used to sleep on. I couldn't throw it away, and its ridiculous to keep a dirty pillowcase, so I put it on an old enamel tray, put a firelighter to it, and watched it burn. Very freeing.
EDIT: Pepe, the avatar! Its wonderful!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
