Yes I spotted the fact that ITAL prosecuted. I was going to write to the TOC to complain but suddenly thought that they could send my name to ITAL as being asociated with the penalty. Or would that also be covered by GDPR.

This get so complicated the further you delve - mabe I need to start my own thread!

No need, we have hundreds all asking the same stuff, and none prosecuted.

Here's today's latest thread asking this again:

Crikey the amount of threads daily that are problems caused by ignoring tickets is legion yet the one ticket you can ignore everyone seems determined to respond to in some way.

Except that in 2016 (the latest year on which I can find data) under Byelaw 14 iii, the one that deals with parking,
there were 147 prosecutions and 69 guilty verdicts!

and you can confirm those were brought by INDIGO , and in relation to parking

But Indigo's contract does not allow them to do that, and they can't pass data to a TOC either. This is a PCN to IGNORE, honestly.

Indigo (SABA), ZZPS and QDR just issue letters. That's all the contract lets them do.

No, not Indigo admittedly but I think it's evidence that prosecutions are brought under Byelaw 14 and indicates that TOCs do prosecute over parking under that Byelaw.

I am very relieved if the evidence shows that Saba (Indigo) cannot send data from DVLA to TOC's

I apologise for maybe being too obtuse but I worked in a profession where you could be frivolously sued at the drop of a hat. I tend to cross t's and dot i's and then check again before embarking on an action. Perhaps I should just sit back and let things take their course!

    Won't let me post links!

I seem to recall Northern Rail issued their own parking penalty charges and took people to Magistrates' court. There are threads on pepipoo about them.

But they were on their own, and this cannot happen with Indigo/SABA doing the letters. It's a cheap or free business model for the TOCs to use Indigo/SABA, because I am sure plenty of hapless victims who have forgotten Google exists, panic and pay up.

Therefore the ignorers (like ALL the posters who come here) matter not to the PPC or the TOC, as the money flows in from others anyway.
