My mam had a substantial win at Gala bingo and treat all family members to £150!! Very generous of her and caused a bit of excitement in the family. Thanks Mam!! :T:T:T:T
On the same day.......I finally got my BT pension lump sum payout which was a fantastic £4,587 :eek: A huge thankyou to whoever it was that mentioned last year about being able to claim old pensions once you have turned 50 :T:T
I will also get a monthly payment of £57
Now if it was down to my OH........the money would have gone on a holiday but I have been sensible and paid off the only credit card debt we had and a lump sum of £2,500 off the mortgage.
We already have a lovely holiday booked for May and I still dream of paying off the mortgage by the time I am 56 (Five years time) so this has given me an incentive to start overpaying again.
Total £4791.50 :eek: Never ever going to be able to post that again.:D
Sorry for lengthy post.
amazing. well done to your Mam and how generous. Well done to you for being so thrifty.

Some money beginning to trickle in at last:j
£17.35 from WeBuyBooks
£5 voucher from Morrisons
£4.22 from a book sold on Amazon
£1 found in slot of supermarket trolley
That's £27.57:j to add to what was a pathetic amount already made. I was beginning to think March was going to be a write-off. I'm still miles away from my target with 2 thirds of the month already gone:eek:0 -

Yoga shouldn't put strain on your lower back. if it is you need to tell your teacher and they need to check your positioning.
you may want to consider also looking at pilates. that is very good for strengthening the core and would work well with yoga.
(says she who needs to lose weight and has done nothing about it!)
Ive tried pilates and find it plays up my back even more.
I know I need to increase my core strength but find it difficult without putting more pressure on lower back.
Have found a few yoga sessions on youtube to ease lower back pain. Did some this morning and it helps enormously. Just need to find the time now to do it regularly. Slouching on the couch in front of the telly may also be the culprit.
£7.40 tips and £5 swagbucks to add for today.

Just had a very pleasant surprise after submitting my electricity meter reading. Scottish Power have dropped my monthly DD by £8 a month:j. The reason I'm so surprised is that although we have so few working sockets at the moment:mad: and are using the minimum electrical appliances I've had 2 halogen heaters on a lot during this recent cold weather. We heat our home by oil but OH refuses to have it on much:(. I'm just heating the 2 rooms I'm in most myself. I know halogen heaters are relatively cheap to run even though they're electric but I was still surprised at the monthly drop as I've also had to use the tumble dryer a lot too:o
Not claiming this towards my monthly total as I expect it might go up again when life gets back to normal in this house (is it ever normal though?:rotfl:). Sun shining today and all heaters are now off:j0 -
Aftenoon everyone :hello:
I got a refund from British Gas, would this count towards this challenge?
Not quite sure why they did this as I was only in credit by 40 something pound and no doubt they'll soon turn around and put my DD up from next month!VSPC 2019 #10 - £168.80/£100 VSPC 2020 #4 - £262.03/£200 VSPC 2021 #9 - £242.88/£200 VSPC 2022 #3 - £188.03/£200 VSPC 2023 #7 - £0/£2000 -
