Your meeting with family sounded lovely. I’m looking forward to my dd and gdds coming on Thursday. The need to get a train to London followed by one that goes to the big city near here…..they should get off the stop 5 minutes before the big city. BUT they hadn’t released any tickets up to last week so she is travelling from London to the town on the opposite side of The Pennines about an hour away. I’m going on the train to meet them and we’ll travel back here together. There used to be3 trains an hour from our town to London now it’s 1 an hour and the tickets go very quickly 😡 Fiasco isn’t in it 😡
You sound very organised get ready for a busy day 👍

@EssexHebridean I do ours at the beginning of the month with Octopus and they send reminders when it is due. They also give notice each month of when they will be taking your payments.

Thank you! I suspect they will request ours on the anniversary of the point in the month we joined - which would be o/around the 11th IIRC - longer term though I'm not convinced I can see myself remembering that each month and if it's over a weekend there is a very good chance I wont see the email reminder until several days later! I want to ideally avoid submitting readings more than once a month too as I gather this will potentially raise an increased number of bills.

They’ll produce more bills (for random periods), but the DD will still be taken at the same point each month. I guess it depends how much you look at the bills to keep track of things as to whether that’s an issue or not.

That last bit is it - I DO use the bills, so I'm keen to avoid creating more than one every month-ish if I possibly can!

Thanks for the article QueenJess - very interesting and I certainly talk to my two using baby-talk and they listen more to that than when I use my normal voice when I’m cross with them! But B&W cat thinks he’s my baby anyway - never seen such a daft and needy cat!
