Take care it is difficult to stop and rest when you are used to being so busy but it is for the best and you will recover so much more quickly x3

Good morning from the plague house. Thanks for all your nice comments - they have been helping.
I tested positive for Covid this morning. It was inevitable as Mr F has it & I have exactly the same symptoms, but am a day behind. I've read & heard frequently that these newer versions are more like having a cold, but unfortunately that's not our experience. Symptoms: Tight chest, gungey smoker's-type cough, runny nose, very sore throat, upset tummy, nausea, aching joints, aching muscles, general headacheyness, fever & low mood. Mr F hasn't been off work sick for over ten years. He usually has the constitution of an ox, but it's floored him.
I have done 1 task today - rubber chicken - but sod fannying around with stock, I've frozen the carcass for doubling up next time.
I've postponed my usual Monday budget updates to tomorrow, in the hope of picking up a bit, & my Big Budget Day has been shunted to Wednesday.
I did smile at one of your comments yesterday - think it was from @Humdinger1, who said just to do whatever I feel like, or words to that effect. I had a think & all I felt like doing was crying & drinking orange juice!! I had some juice, but didn't succumb to the former as my nose & throat were already quite snotty enough!
Well, I'm going to go inside for a coffee & biscuit now. I had to come out & sit on the bench because I was so hot. Later, I'll doubtless be wrapped up in two blankets with a hot water bottle.
Mrs Plague signing out......

Sorry to hear you are now also testing positive. When I had it in spring I felt on the edge of tears for about 10 days. I did spend plenty of time sitting in the garden resting (I couldn't do much else) which seemed to help.
I wish you both a full and speedy recovery.

I caught covid from my friend and even though I'm asthmatic I had what felt like a mild cold while he had the full hit like you and Mr F have. I was looking after him for at least 2 weeks after I was better and he had it first! I really hope that you both start to feel better soon.5

Thanks both of you. Yes, isn't it odd how different people are affected in such different ways. Mr F has a very big important work event at the weekend, but I can't see him going in unless he has a major pick-up in the next few days. He's just had to pause for a rest going upstairs & he was only on the 3rd stair!
I couldn't have avoided it this time because of the specific situation in which Mr F caught it, but once I'm out & about again, I'm going to return to social distancing.

Thanks @Deni_debt-free_dreamer - At the moment, I don't feel as though I'll ever entertain anyone again. Really hoping I pick up over the next few days.

I havent had the dreaded lurgy but from what I have been told by those who have is dont try to do too much too soon. It does seem to leave a lasting effect that you need time to get over. Take good care of yourselves and recover soon.

Sorry to hear you feel so poorly. When you aren’t well you can’t imagine feeling better. Hopefully you won’t be suffering for too long 🤞I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4
