The speed and reliability is the best I have ever had.

On the minus side I had the BT Sport App always for free, but they starting charging £3.50 for it in January. I signed up for the new deal in December to avoid the price rises. It did not mention the new £3.50 charge in my conformation email.

I have complained to Ofgem, they are investigating.

I received a call from B.T today regarding my complaint to the Ombudsman against them. She offered to refund my charges for B.T Sport and credited my account with an extra £10 by way of an apology.

This was offered to close the case.I accepted as all I was asking for was the refund of the B.T Sport charges.

You aren't really suggesting they knew you were in hospital when they wrote to inform you of the price rise?

The inability to leave without penalty during the minimum term is common across all providers I'm afraid.
  • We've been with BT since last June and we've had no problems with the connection. They overcharge horrendously though. Unfortunately no other broadband provider seems to supply where I live...

When you are out of contract i would tell BT you are moving ISP .
They may then offer you a deal . My BT has dropped in price over the last three years .
Dont mention no other suppliers at your property .
  • Personally, I don't find BT a nice company to deal with. I think they are underhand and many of their business ethics stink.

Having said that, I remain a customer of their fibre broadband because I have experienced the horrors of TalkTalk first hand a couple of years ago when I let my wallet make the decision to transfer. I went back to BT and was thankful to regain a decent and reliable broadband connection.

But I continue to screw them for as much as I can, and I will NEVER EVER pay their full price for any service.

I'm 100% in agreement with this. However, in terms of the broadband service they provide, I find their fibre broadband connection to be very stable. I had loads of problems with them back in the day with a standard up to 8mb broadband connection and left for a number of years better service elsewhere, but since returning 2 or 3 years ago for fibre, it has been rock solid. Got almost nothing good to say about their customer service though. And because of that, I'm more than likely to leave immaterial of the deal they offer the next time my contract is up for renewal.
