I've noticed that almost every house around the million quid mark in and around our way seems to have exactly the same kitchen/diner set-up. Full width back extension, shiny white kitchen with island and bar stools, tile or wooden floor (see pic 3 below).

TBF, if our layout had allowed, I suspect we might have ended up with the same, only minus the shiny kitchen because I don't like shiny kitchens, so I'm kind of glad the idiosyncrasy of our house meant we did something different.
Any particular trends round your way?

Where I live there's quite a large (West) Asian population who have brought their cultural aesthetic, not that that's a trend per se.
Where I used to live (and I think this is true for the majority of West London) expensive properties seem to always have classical interiors eg; http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-42788781.html , I don't like it personally, but would never afford it so it doesn't matter!"Meow meow meow? An awful lot of shutters on lounge windows in my street! Never seen so many! Annoyingly, I want them for my lounge too. I hate following everyone else LOL.2023 wins: *must start comping again!*0

It's Essex and we do love loads of not quite matching wood, shiny marble floors and our furniture arranged around the edge of the rooms.

Because we don't have the weather for full outside living/dining/kitchens the compromise is a space that connects to the outside.0

Seen a lot of crushed velvet sofas and curtains, personally can't stand them. Lots of laminate flooring, and grey, grey walls, grey sofas, grey kitchens, grey furnishings. . .0

We've been looking at newer builds and lots have been retrofitted with woodburners, regardless of the style of property, not as if wood is even a cheap option if you have to buy it in nowadays0

It's not just London. Essex has them too. They look terrible IMHO.

Looking at most of these suggests money can't buy either taste, or class!0
