This advert came up when I was loking for bonds and information when interest rates may change : https://www.theguardian.com/money/2018/feb/03/interest-rates-rise-february-remortgage ( upper right corner - real estate in Thailand )0

Online ads from advertising servers which pay sites like the Guardian to be hosted there, are invariably targeted to your preferences and browsing history. If you have been looking at dodgy unregulated investments here and there, you are more likely to get Thai real estate ads served to you. This advert come up when I was loking for bonds and information when interest rates may change on this web site : https://www.theguardian.com/money/2018/feb/03/interest-rates-rise-february-remortgage ( upper right corner - real estate in Thailand )
Personally I didn't get any adverts when I went to that guardian link. Then I disabled my ad-blocker and was given an ad for the iPhone SE on O2.0 -
Well , I was looking only for information about bonds and interest change , nothing else. I have installed ad- blocker and advert disappeared .Thank you for your advice.0

I think that Brexit is almost certain, but the exact nature of the deal is up for grabs.
If you save in a one year fixed rate savings bond there will be no impact from Brexit.0 -
Looks like I will go with bonds . Regarding Brexit I can't understand why politicians lead to it as most of them supported remainers including PM. Now Corbyn is proposing to stay in custom union with EU and to have full access to EU market what will cost us fees to EU anyway without having any voting rights . I just can't see benefits of being outside and still paying for access . Seems to me that actually nobody in charge knows how to make a success from Brexit .0

That's because it was a dumb decision in the first place and there is no successful exit strategy, but our former prime minister offered a referendum for his own political gain and the gamble backfired. Then we had the spineless House of Commons insist that an advisory vote (not legally binding) couldn't be ignored and so we had to go ahead.0 -
Fully agree and I remmeber very well what Cameron has done but still can't understand why politicans force Brexit if it's obvious there will bo no gain from it for the UK.The referendum was just an opinion of people built on the lies of UKIP. People voted leave because they believed lies. They were cheated and politicans are responsible to correct this for the goodness of the whole country. By doing Brexit they admit it will be beneficial to the country although they are aware that is another lie. Funny that referendum based on lies couldn't be ignored . Unbelievable.0

Not exactly the forum for 'Remainer' rhetoric. I come here to escape from this kind of patronising, ill-informed nonsense. Apparently you are the only person currently in the UK who is able to foresee decades into the future . Perhaps you would care to share your 'expert insight' with Mark Carney? Or Theresa May?
I am not over 60.
I have a masters degree.
OH is an economist working in the City.
I spent several pre-referendum months researching the pros/cons of Brexit (and doing my best to ignore the misinformation presented by both campaigns).
I have always considered UKIP a public embarrassment.
I am pro immigration.
I was not conned and I don't feel 'cheated'.
I made an informed decision to vote 'leave'.
I haven't changed my mind.
Your patronising stereotyping of millions of UK citizens is insulting. Suggest that you base your opinions on more than media headlines if you wish to be taken seriously on a public forum.0 -

The OP didn't stereotype anyone in their comment. Perhaps you can pinpoint for me exactly where they did?
How did you evaluate the pros and cons of the most significant constitutional change in living memory (if not the Act of Union, 1707), and the most wide-sweeping economic change ever seen? Nobody could give you clear pros and cons on that because it is completely unknown.
The unravelling of the UK's membership is the single greatest task facing any government at pretty well any point in time. It could go swimmingly, but I doubt it. Whatever, the outcome, however, you could not possibly have made a truly informed decision, and neither could those who voted to remain.
The referendum was completely advisory, as is the nature of all referenda in the UK. Parliament remains sovereign and does not have to abide by the results of any referenda. They are an expression of the view of the electorate at a particular moment in time, and are not an instruction to parliament. MPs are elected as representatives, not delegates, so they are elected with the freedom to act in the way that they see fit to serve the best interests of their constituents. This is the nature of the constitution.
If you don't wish to read comments from those opposed to Brexit then that is your choice, as it is theirs to make those comments in an open forum.
Your comments about what has informed the OP's view are insulting. You are, I'm afraid, coming across here as being rather precious about your particular political views, and failing to appreciate that, in a democracy, it is legitimate for others to disagree with you and say so.
If this isn't the forum for "remainer's rhetoric" then neither is it the forum for "leaver's rhetoric", nor for ad hominem attacks on those who do not agree with you.0
