The best 5 year fixed rate at the moment is 2.51% although for £50k this may be liable to some income tax. Does your answer mean that there is no low risk investment that will achieve that rate over 5 years?
...
With investments you generally have the risk that there will be less money than you started with after 5 years. A possible option could be safer P2P lending, though of course that isnt risk free so it would be a bad idea to put all your money into it.0 -

There probably is, but it would be achieved by investing for a short term, say a year now, waiting for rates to rise then investing for 3 or 4 years.
Also, the OP states that they already have £50k savings in cash so it looks like they are looking for a low risk investment that they expect to beat current cash rates.
Thats not what they asked. Fair enough it might be what they want but then they should ask what they want.
And finally, no one has mentioned pension planning as yet.
True. Dont know how old the OP is, what they do for pensions currently and cant be bothered to drag info out one question at a time.0 -

I am on pensioner already . I am aware about soon interest increase and locking my money for 5 years at fixed rate may be not a good idea. Perhaps would be better to invest for a year and then adjust to the market ? Where to find out about the best saving accounts ? Please beare in mind I might decide permanently move out from UK .0

It sounds as though you are asking about saving, rather than investing.

Not invest. Save. Look up on this page under "banking and saving"0 -
True, but if they already have £50k cash savings and are asking for advice about investing a further £50k it is reasonable to assume that they are looking for a better rate of return.
Looking at what they've responded with its clear they are using "invest" and "save" interchangeably and appear to mean "cash savings" and not "invest in the stock market"0 -

Well , I meant all ways of investements to generate from my cash more money and not only saving accounts .0

If you put £50k in now do you mind if you wake up in 5 years and there is less than £50k in there?
If you do you're looking at saving v investing.
"low risk" investments still mean you could lose some money.0
