The vet dropped the pup off yesterday. I honestly thought she wasn’t going to make it. The difference in 24 hours is amazing. They both still aren’t better but are certainly on the road to recovery. I think we will end up being a family of 4 dogs. OH needs to have a chat with DS1 as the pup was supposed to be going to him. I think she’s going to be OHs heart dog. I’ve never seen him so upset.
Today is going to be all about cleaning. We’re going to do it together and the if there’s time some planting (as long as the midgies have gone, they’re quite bad today)

DS1 and family are due to arrive tomorrow, then late Friday the other 3 chaps arrive. I’ve sort of got a meal plan but don’t feel very organised. I’m hoping to do a curry night, I made a Dahl yesterday and froze that. On the actual night I’ve just got 2 curries to cook and the dips to make.
I’ve a long day tomorrow as I’m doing both jobs. I think Friday will be the last shift and the end of job 2. Tuesday I need to collect the shopping after work and Wednesday I’ve got my interview. It’s been a while since I’ve had one of those. Any tips appreciated

just caught up with the doggie drama - I'll admit that I skipped a page so I could find out more quickly that they both made it and are on the road to recovery. That must have been so scary.

  • Glad they’re both on the mend.

With interview prep, I’d recommend AI… if you give it the company, job role and description, it’ll build you a list of potential questions to prep for.
If it’s with a well known company, sometimes they even have formulaic questions they ask everyone and score on. AI will know these too 🥴

Popped here to check on the dogs. Glad to read the much better news.

Re the interview, I noticed from over the years you have had a lot of experience in the workplace where you have taken the lead and organised, from no washer uppers to people with diet issues, to cooking for loads of unexpected guests. Not forgetting all the admin you have done.

Most interviews I have done, have been questions like, can you tell me about a time when you had to......

I would suggest you think of all those times in your workplace and list them, they might come in really useful. It might then help to trigger some memories. As has been said, the job description will probably guide you to the likely questions.

Use the STAR method to answer the question, which is just assess the situation, define the task, outline your action, and the result

    Good luck.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. Tomorrow I’ll do some swotting with the help of AI and I’ll try and think of some scenarios to help me out.
Well OH and I have worked our docks off and the house has been scrubbed. Even moved our bed and cabinets so the carpet could get washed. Cot is set up ready for when they arrive. Just got to peg some washing out. Then some gardening

So glad the doggos are okay.

My interview advice is make sure you've thought of a genuine (but reciprocally good 😁) answer to questions like 'why do you want this job', and be able to back up your points with 'like I did in/when..'

Also I'm sure you are anyway but be lovely to everyone on way there and any random staff or passing customers, not just interview panel. Good luck! 🤞🥂
