Wrong spec from Indesit - Curry mis-sold oven

We have decided to keep the oven. Does anyone have experience of getting "goodwill" refund from Currys? I suppose I could just call CS and ask for it, since I bought an item with the wrong spec provided?0

I don't see how this is mis-selling, Curry's were simply repeating what they'd been told by Indesit, or are you suggesting that they knew it was wrong but decided not to correct it because of the vast extra profit they were making from triple vs double-glazed?0

You'd have far more leverage for a "goodwill" payment if the item had arrived damaged and you wanted to keep it. Wrongly described does not make it difficult to sell on to someone else (once they fix the description online, of course) at the full price.
So by all means keep the oven, but don't expect Curry's to be keen to pay in that circumstance.0 -
Probably a discount voucher.0

The oven is installed, so it would require them to send someone over to dismantle it and take it back. That would certainly cost them a fair bit. Also they still haven't fixed their error on the website.0 -

See post #11. The answer is Yes ... the "store" in this case is the online arm of Currys. Store doesn't just mean a bricks-and-mortar retail outlet, so no need for attempted pedantry.0 -

Yup,but the people picking the goods dont checks spec.
An error on a website like that is unlikely to get flagged up until a customer notices whether its right or not.
Post 11 covering a refund Currys already agreed to?0 -
Aaaaand the story ends: got a 10% partial refund + energy switch cashback that we had qualify for (£25)0
