Parked on Private Property (QDR Solicitors)

Hello,
In July I've received a fine for parking in a private land.
I've binned two letters since and now I've got letters from QDR Solicitors saying :
We are instructed by ZZPS Limited on behalf of Civil Enforcement Ltd.
They are asking for a very high amount now. - 236£
It has been 6 months since they first recorded the offence. Should I keep ignoring the letters ? QDR have sent two of these letters (they were identical). I've only kept the last one for my records, everything else was binned. I've contacted consumer rights, they said that its down to pay the amount they're asking in full, since I haven't appealed on time, and to look for terms and condition for something about what is the limit to stay on the premises and appeal against anything found in my favour in T&C.
Can I end up being in court for Parking Charge Notice? What will be the consequence if I keep ignoring the letters? Will they eventually stop sending them?
I do apologise for my English, not my first language.
Many thanks for your help! I am a bit nervous now.

never heard of them
you tried a search on this forum for QDR ?
perhaps you missed the newbies thread , the one called
"**NEWBIES!! PRIVATE PARKING TICKET? OLD OR NEW? **READ THESE FAQS FIRST!** Thankyou!"0 -
According to one user on this forum : "QDR are a branch of Wright Hassall Solicitors"
Another user is writing this on a similar tread : "Also bear in mind that QDR solicitors are also the debt collection arm of Wright Hassall and like all debt collectors they are economical with the truth."
So I believe that my letter from QDR have two debt collectors involved (correct me if I'm wrong) :
- QDR themselves and ZZPS Limited.
Any advice on how to proceed will be highly appreciated.
I haven' missed the newbies tread which I found very useful. However I am still not very sure how to approach the issue.0 -
you are now understanding qdr , so what does it say to do in the newbies thread?0
-
I have found the below - which I think is relevant to my case
Q - ''I am getting debt collector letters! They're really scary, the 'fine' has gone up, what do I do?''
A - NOTHING! Unless this is the VERY FIRST letter (England/Wales) in which case, appeal as if it was the 'Notice to Keeper'. DO NOT RING THE DEBT COLLECTOR - DON'T TAKE THE BAIT! See post #4 below, please NO NEW THREADS RE 'IGNORING THE DEBT COLLECTORS' STAGE.
Oh and Post #4 has very good information relevant to my case. I am sorry I am just panicking, this is now a relief, I will carry on reading, sorry for wasting your time and have a good day!0 -
This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences.
Parking Eye, Smart and a smaller company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (who take hundreds of these cases to court, and nearly always lose), who have also been reported to the regulatory authority.
The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the HofC recently.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind most of these companies may well be put out of business by Christmas. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -

YES, it's just Wright Hassall hiding themselves away as they
watch the other two active legals in this scam business get trashed.
Plus WH were left with egg on their faces after the BPA
wrongly thought they would be a fine POPLA ?????
and they made a right royal c*ck up of it, much the
same as the BPA made a right royal c*ck upi with
POFA 2012 and fooled the government0 -
Hi guys,
I do apologize if this is been answered (I'm sure it is), but I have been trough the newbies section and can't quite find what to do next and which stage I am at. English being second language doesn't help either. I will write down the letter I've received from CEL.

I've skipped the part at the beginning of the letter where it has my name address PCN number, Car reg N, Site Details.
The outstanding debt is : £236 (Original charge £100.00 + additional cost)
Now as I've mentioned already English is not my first language and going to court would be very scary experience with a chance of failure. Preparing a defense will be a big challenge as well since the wording of it is out of my vocabulary and grammar.
Any help will be greatly appreciated, I am lost without your help really. I will see if I can counter this letter and if chances are not on my side I will have to pay the above.
Many many thanks again guys.0 -
If this is a LBCCA then it should comply with the new CPR
https://www.justice.gov.uk/courts/procedure-rules/civil
Downloading a link does not comply. IMO, Beavis is not applicable. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Many thanks for your quick response.
I am not sure what exactly is this letter, it never mentioned a LBCCA or similar wording. Will it definitely say Letter Before County Court Action or maybe it is Letter before Action.
How should I approach this one? Are you saying that this letter contains errors that I can use to tackle it?
I was reading about an option to make an offer to CEL - an amount that I can afford and consider fair, how do I go about this option?0 -
That letter is a lbcca.
#2 in the Newbies FAQ thread near the top of the forum gives advice on court procedure and how to deal with it from receipt of the letter right through to a hearing
Throughout here you are advised never to reveal who was driving.
You need to edit your post to remove details of who was driving
The ppcs monitor this forum and can use your posts against you
Don't make any offers to cel!!0
