MMD: Can I keep grandma's cashback?
Comments
-
If you are happy stealing from your grandmother, keep her share of cash back. That makes you a disgusting thief. I have to wonder if this is a genuine question.0
-
Really?
Just ask if you can have £10 a month for doing it if you must.
Why did you help her in the first place?
If this is so difficult get someone else to do it.
Is this legal anyway. What about power of attorney?0 -
No! No! No! No! No!0

The money was just resting in my account!0

Firstly bank interest is legally hers and taking it is stealing. Cashback is a bit more difficult as if you are using your account to click on links and make purchases I can honestly say, legally I don't know if the money is yours but morally you should not keep it. I do things for my grandmother and if it's a small amount she is usually not bothered it, but if it were a lot like £100 for switching energy suppliers she would definitely want it and rightly so. We help our families because they are family not because we benefit financially.0

well done! you've saved grandma some money. its not your cash0

I am surprised at the question. The cashback is meant for your Grandma as it is her money that is paying the bills. If you take it, you would be stealing. If you ask her and she gives it to you then that's different. Even if you think she wouldn't understand the nature of cashback or you're sure she would give it you if she did understand, without actually getting her permission, it is stealing.0

Dear Jackie, I really like a boy in my year, and he once looked at me in Chemistry which surely means he likes me too, only as of yesterday he's come to school dressed as Boy George, what should I do?
It sounds like your luck is in, Willam. Ask him to meet you behind the bike sheds...:D
Re the original question, ask granny about the cashback but put the account in joint names at least, Power of Attorney would be better.0 -
Why would MSE employ anyone with a brain as twisted as Naomi's?
You want to screw your grandmother while pretending to help her? Screw you.0
